According to Fujino, it all depends on the length of the "sword". Whoever has a bigger and longer "sword" is better.

Kirito's biggest sword was in the ALO arc, but Fujino's game did not have this arc.

Suguha may be the best girl in this game, I will never say anything to oppose that, but not even she can carry the ensemble of boring nobodies that make up Kirito's "harem."

Just a single member of Guts' on the other hand, beats everyone in terms of good looks.
