a bit delusional because of the nature of this game

They call these types of games unrealistic because of the usually very dense MCs.
But then you have people who played both parts of this game until now and still think there will be a happy end... Maybe very dense MCs aren't THAT unrealistic.

can someone explain to me the background behind SAO and FOG? there was some kind of killing in SAO and surviving? and the company seem to have freaked out and put a ban or protection mechanism?

and how does events in SAO/FOG impact real life? if you get injured in SAO/FOG, do you wake up in pain?

FOG is a whole thing original of this NTR game of Fujino, it's not part of Canon SAO. Sword Art Online was a death game where if you died inside the game you died in the real world too and players were trapped inside for like 2 years before the game was cleared, that's the gist of it (Explaining the actual full plot would be too long and unless you're really interested on checking the source material if you're already playing this game blind then it doesn't matter much).

I will say, it still depends on your definition of 'happy end'. For your average mindless NTR content enjoyer, this game already is 'bad' because the MC has actually gotten some and is not being utterly rejected and thought as useless for every female in it. And in a very realistic twist, the girls actually wanting him/giving him some are NOT really good things for him despite how much it may annoy others because they're having sex with him, Suguha is probably the biggest case, she's a borderline psycho yandere who is raping him whenever she can, indirectly sabotaging his relationship and betraying his trust to try and take him for herself (While hilariously being still probably the only girl who still 100% loves him for real without any care for his terrible NTR-ed MC sexual skills XP). So ironically, despite what some may think, an Ending where Suguha got Kirito would NOT be happy for him at all, but in the view of others would still be considered a 'happy' ending (For Sugu XD).

That said, yeah, any kind of Ending where Kirito gets some justice, vengeance, and/or a healthy relationship from all this is beyond unrealistic to expect from this game, honestly :3

And even if he starts dating Suguha, his girlfriend will be a rapist with a leaky roof, whom Kirito won't trust, maybe he won't trust anyone at all. So there's no question of a good ending at all.

" I know who you are. I know what you want. If you want to fuck Asuna, I have no reason to stop you because she wants to. But what I have is a very specific set of skills. The skills that I have gained over a very long career as a programmer. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. But if not, I will look for you, and I will find you, and I will put all your secrets and your porn videos on the Internet. I will make you famous."

it'd be a cinematic masterpiece xD. but i doubt fujino sensei will make these changes, kirito is destined to suffer since he isn't like the canon kirito in any way (except for the part where he cares for his friends/family and would do anything for his loved ones). atp, fujino sensei should introduce a new female character (sachi would be perfect) who falls for kirito and helps him recover from the pain he'll go through after losing parodysuna

That was the original plan but Fujino had to go back add new scenes to existing content. So the new content was pushed back. Fujino decided to release a mini-update in mid-May and then release the actual new content in end of June.

Well, if Kirito is doomed to suffer, then let him suffer. Ideas with revenge endings are just ideas. But something tells me that the games I remember the most are the ones that break the expectations of the players knee-deep. In general, everyone expects Kirito to become a cuckold, an invalid and cry for the rest of his life, but if Kirito himself becomes a villain in the end, for example, who will destroy everyone around him, it will be remembered. Even those who came just to jerk off will say, "Holy shit, I definitely didn't expect this!"


The main question, the answer to which we will find out only in the beginning of the game, is whether Fujino wants to be creative or just wants to make money?
