Every character in this game is completely brain dead, except maybe the girl named Suguha. Sure, she did some questionable shit to win over her cousin, but at least she’s the only one who gives a damn about the protagonist. I hope the developer of this game doesn’t screw that up. In this game, the character remains smart only until Fujino gets into a difficult situation with writing the plot. Fujino has 2 ways out of this difficult situation-
I mean, the TRUE reason for why is obvious, actually: Fujino COULDN'T allow that to happen because it would mean his plot ends immediately if she exposed Asuna's infidelity with definitive proof to Kirito, which we KNOW she has thanks to her cameras. However, he (accidentally?) ended up twisting it in a way that legit cemended Suguha as the only one who still genuinaly cares for and love Kirito in this game, because she didn't want to just emotionally destroy him by exposing the truth and then pick up the pieces for herself, which she COULD have done that very same day and 'won', but she legit but his happiness above that (One of the most canon-compliants bits her character has been in this whole game where she has been almost none of it, period XP). Now she's trying to make HIM want her so much he cheats on Asuna with her willingly so when she eventually reveals the truth (As she was slowly trying to ease him into last update during her bath/boobjob combo), he can just be with her without breaking down, as she truly wants

Going back to your example. Imagine if someone you know saw a video of a guy sucking another guy's dick while holding your ID. Wouldn't the person at least start wondering what crazy shit you are doing to get your ID, not someone else's, in the video even if they don't believe it is you in the video?
