Many games, especially linear ones, have this problem. And even more, this problem is aggravated by the time-stretched release of the game. Perhaps Fujino has already changed his plans for the development of characters several times, or perhaps it was all planned in advance. So do not be surprised that suddenly some characters will be thrown out, and the plot branches will simply end in nothing.

If people viewed this game as a complete work with a clear linear plot, then it might work. But for the most part, people see this game simply as NTR porn with familiar characters, so they are unlikely to appreciate that the game from NTR has suddenly turned into a revenge drama.

I agree. In the real world, such a game would raise a lot of questions. Drugs, brothels, sex. Monsters in the game can drug the player with some kind of aphrodisiacs or paralytics. If you accidentally give permission to someone, they will rape you. Can minors get access? In short, separate legislation will have to be devised to control such a game.

I wouldn't say that this game is based on a light novel. It would be correct to say that this is a free interpretation or a parody. The names, the appearance of the characters and several moments of the backstory of these characters are used. Everything else has nothing to do with it - it's just the fantasy of the game's author. The novel is Sword Art Online, written by Reki Kawahara.

The next update, indeed, contains almost no intrigue. Although Fujino talked about reducing Asuna's time in the foreground, in fact, it would still be about Asuna and the end of the quarantine. The update can only contain interesting scenes with other girls. I think the most interesting thing may start already in the July update (or when will it be there? If you soberly evaluate what is happening in the game - Fujino tried, made Asuna's storyline, and eventually, after 2 years, he came to that Asuna is the least interesting character in the game. Play out, animation/scene wise. I know they're not the focus, but I've been so much more interested in what the side characters are doing then those two since it's basically over for them. Just feels like dragging it out for the sake of it at this point when there's other stuff going on we could be seeing.

Course I also like the hidden update status sex more than the rest. Kirito out fucking about town and then getting an "Asuna status has changed" has me smashing the menu button to see what's going on.

Too bad those are greyed out until you visit the shrine but you might be able to get to the shrine until you go to sleep. I do wish Fujino would remove that feature. I get from a story reason why you need to visit the shrine but it just sucks for us to have to wait and sometimes you miss things because the status changes multiple times a day.

Yeah, I agree. If there are long events without the possibility to reveal the updates, you sometimes don’t even remember what to look for by the end of the day.
