This is an old theory in Chinese forums: Fujino projects himself in this game that he is Inoda, so every time Inoda wins = Fujino wins.

So I think this is no longer a "theory" because Fujino himself admits it.



I'm not sure if people pay attention to what this rooster says. Not sure if the English translation is accurate enough. But the Chinese version must be the most accurate because it's Fujino's native language.

The underlined sentence means (literal translation): "In the process [of making this game] I become more and more like [love/fond of] Asuna this character, and feel I become more Inoda-lized [= I become Inoda myself]".

I think now it's clear. There's no need anymore to say why Inoda is always lucky or why he is made almighty in the story. Because the creator immerses himself in the role of Inoda.

So no surprise if Inoda takes everything and end up with a pig harem.

Just have Asuna become a willing and enthusiastic participant over the course of the quarantine, culminating in her actively instigating sex with Inoda (probably after she experiences unsatisfying sex with Kirito when she gets back home)

There's an NTR game for that in active development out there though, using Koikatsu graphics as well.
Haven't played it myself yet, but comments/reviews suggest it's actually at least not bad.

That alone shouldn't stop Fujino of course, I just think it would be the more boring choice out of the leading candidates in part because of this.

At the end of the day and what I wish for the next game is that it is a more digestable one.
SAO went on for too long imo. On the flipside all his other games are all too short. Played that chainsaw man game for example and it felt more like a tech demo or teaser to something bigger.

SAO pt1 was the closest thing to "just right". Maybe 2-3 more hours of build-up (and Asuna actually caving in herself, rather than the "it was actually half-forced" retconning at the beginning of pt2), and it would've been spot-on.
Pt2 is easily 2-3 times too long already, with too much filler related to Liz and Alice in particular, in my opinion.

Personally, I don't think her "corruption" is complete until she admits that she wants this. Whenever Asuna fights Inoda, it undermines the corruption.

I also think that mind control is the least satisfying solution to the problem, but it's all the more egregious because Fujino already had the solution and he threw it away. Fujino wrote himself into a dead end with this plot, if he had continued with the Asuna/Inoda status quo the game would never be in the way he wanted would be cheating only, the result for him has to be NTR which is different.

The story got stagnated, with no ending in site i think that was the meaning behind his words, the cheating part was over in the previous update, now it's the time for the NTR and for that he used the Brainwash/mindcontrol trope to give the last push to Asuna cave.

The problem was the way he moved Asuna/Inoda plot was from excuse to excuse (conviniences) until this point where he had no excuses left to give to justify their affair that would make any sense.

It is common for authors to consider characters in their works as Mary Sue.
In this game, Inoda can do that.

it's not common for authors to consider this unless you're talking about trash isekai/shounen slops. inoda hasn't suffered a single bad thing in this game. he always wins w/ 0 suffering. even jinwoo from slop leveling suffered a bit in his early arcs, but people still called him gary stu. inoda IS fujino sensei's fav character/one of his alter ego in this game

Self inserting authors is nothing new, most of the time means lack of creativity.

Fujino said he was expecting the result of this update stir some controversy, that means he makeup his mind about the Asuna/Inoda BS and over the others girls as well, since he is going full NTR mode now, Sugu, Sinon and the others are fair game in his vision.

Fujino is showing Kirito lately more than usual as a indecisive wanker, lacking the initiative to do anything even with the others girls trowing themselves at him all the time it's kind of obvious that Fujino is letting the door wide open to someone else take his place.
