A good but somewhat oblivious observation about NTR games. The levels can be POVs players can see since there are usually only three actors in NTR stories. Most netorare and netorase games will only show one, either the cuck's or the woman's, POV and some will show both. Then there are netori games that will show the bull's POV.

Your conclusion about why the recent update is upsetting is incorrect. All of Fujino's games until later part of Part 1 has been Level 1 (cuck's POV). He even acknowledged his style changed.

But it doesn't explain why the most recent update made so many people uncomfortable since we have been seeing more of Inoda's thoughts thoughts for a while now. But still a good and clear observation on NTR stories.

Personally I think the reason people do not like the recent update is the simple reason of seeing something they love, the canon love story moments of Kirito and Asuna or maybe Yui specially, gets so perverted and using the easy route of mind control instead of more complex psychological reasons.
