The only thing to counter argue this is when Kirito feels like he's seeing Sinon naked in the hospital. So his hallucinations happen seem to happen in both places. But there is little evidence of him seeing past events IRL. But I wonder if the theory that IRL is just another virtual reality is true or not?

Ironically, Fujino didn’t initially plan to make a cuck out of him, but it seems like some supporters wanted it, so he started to develop this second path. Initially, it was supposed to be just one of the endings, but it’s looking like it could actually turn into the new main path of the game.

Quite a long time ago, Kawahara Reki gave an interview in which he said that he had plans after the first Aincrad arch to push Asuna into the background. She flew out of Japan after the traumatic events inside the game. He wanted to make Suguha his main romantic interest. During the ALFheim arc, Kirito and Suguha learned that they were not related and there were no obstacles to a relationship. And Suguha helped Kirito cope with his breakup with Asuna. But then the SAO fan base (which apparently consisted of radical fans of Asuna) got upset and Kawahara Reki decided not to remove Asuna and slightly changed the plot. After that, there was an Easter egg: Suguha is the only one whom Yui accepts on an equal footing with Asuna.

Memes aside, this update was pretty good, with a nice Asuna x Inoda scene for their fans, all meanwhile Sinon and Suguha stole the show by being the most entertaining part of the update.

My glorious incestual queen being the goat is just what I expected, but I did not expect to see Sinon climbing her way from being basically a non-character for most of the two games to being the most interesting character. (Excluding Kirigaya Suguha.)

I do think that, and this is not part of my Suguha agenda, that the update was lacking a bit of content. Content that could have easily been put in place with at least one scene of suguha taking "care" of Kirito in the hospital.

I don't know how to explain it, but I have a certain feeling of discomfort. Asuna's attitude towards Kirito has changed dramatically. In fact, this trip to Kansai is not particularly important, after all, Asuna is in summer practice, it is not a full-time job. I understand that, most likely, Asuna agreed so that Kirito would not cause a quarrel with his mother again. But problems in the brain are a good reason to stay close to the person wanted to get married with and go to America together. At least that was the case a month ago... If Fujino decided to speed up the course of all NTR events in this way, then he overdid it a little and now he will have to spin to keep Asuna and Kirito's relationship on track and so that it does not look fake. That's exactly what happened in this update. Kirito and Asuna looked fake.

I don't think I'll find him now. It was in the year 2015 somewhere. You can try to scroll down Twitter, he posted a lot of different side information there. But I can say that Asuna is not Kawahara Reki favorite girl. It can be noted that in each arch there is always a new female center character, who is given much more time than Asuna. Suguha, Shinon, Silica, Alice. Asuna remained Kirito's girlfriend, according to fans, that she is the best girl of the title. But in total, little time is given to her in the series. Fans once condemned Kawaharu Reki for surrounding Kirito with unwanted girls. And Kawahara added it to the book, also as an Easter egg. There is a scene where Yui tells Kirito that he is too much with other girls, not with mom(Asuna).

I tried but couldn't find the interview. But ssly come on bro, you can't be real. Reki legit gave Asuna her own solo arc without Kirito in S2 (Mother's Rosario). And she had a lot more screentime in War of UW LN (thanks for cutting 90% that out anime director). She had more Screentime in WoU than Alice lmao. Reki also made her the MC of Ordinal Scale AND Progressive. Heck the progressive movies are from her perspective in the anime. While legit every other girl got relegated to no screentime after their arcs, Asuna kept getting more and more. Also Silica was never a focus beyond that one ep. There is no way I can believe Asuna isn't Reki's fav.

I don't think Asuna having little presence past the book means she isn't Reki's favourite waifu. It just means he sucks at writing waifus. They only exist to be saved. Once Kirito has finished fapping to their gratitude he moves on.

I'm pretty sure the series despite being 28 books long fails the Bechdel test where two female characters talk to each other about anything other than Kirito. But that is a good thing. If the female characters don't have a presence, they can't regress. Just look at Rezero. Emilia and Rem went from being interesting at introduction to no longer being able to feed themselves with a spoon.

I can understand Reki not liking Asuna and sees her as a old shame. He designed her at the beginning of his career not really as a character but a collection of all the qualities men would want in a ideal woman. Beautiful, rich, loyal, can cook, strong but not as strong as the man. He only refined her later.

Only later did he improve when dealing with women characters. I remember during Alicization arc he went on Twitter to apologize to the the Voice Actresses of Ronye and Tiese for making them do a rape scene. Men attempting to rape women is very common in SAO!

It is too early to say he is turning the cuckold path to be the main path. He is only planning seeds and reasons why Kirito would choose to become one at the end. Before this update the only hints he could become a cuckold was the NTS couple in Part 1 so now we need more reason for Kirito or it would not make sense if he choses the cuckold path. Also remember all the cuckold choices are OPTIONAL. He can choose to ignore them and not increase his prurience.

Yea but that was much later when she became so much more popular. Remember the second arc in ALO Asuna was a prisoner and third arc in GGO she barely appeared. Mother's Rosario was the first time she became the main character. She was not around for the first half of Alicization either. Progressive was written much later when became the most popular character ever. Progressive was written in 2012 around the same time as Alicization BTW.

This is the unreliable narrator theory, since we only follow the story from Kirito POV and now this is completely fucked up,
Fujino can get way with a ending where Kirito wakes up thinking nothing was real, he even left 2 points in the plot that can be used for this, First when Kirito enters the memory labyrinth and get his mind messed around or after the Xray Googles explosion sending him into a coma of sorts.

This is what i am still hoping for. That maybe at the end there will be choice after Kirito for exemple calls Asuna when she is fucking Inoda and Kiritor became suscpicios. The choices could be like: A. Go and Find Asuna (requires high prurience) B. Don't seek her out.

This would decide which ending you will get. A. Netorarse B. Netorare where either Asuna is cheating on Kirito behind his back or Kirito find out and break up.

Gentlemen, how carefully have you read what I have written? I said that this is an old interview that I read somewhere in 2015. The interview itself was conducted in 2010 - 2011. I think this interview was after the release of the "Ghost Bullet" arc. What does "Mother's Rosary" or "Alicization" have to do with it? Ranobe has been released since 2009, the opinion of fans and the author himself about various aspects of the work could change hundreds of times.

Kawahara just said that in the beginning, after the Aincrad arc, he had completely different plans for the characters. And for some reason you're telling me that Asuna is the best girl. Typical radical fans.

I feel like dev during good job a lot scene, but sometime all over the place. if scene between two character are during interaction with each other should be show there perspective... but instead showing scene like someone POV.

Yeah, it's not set in stone by any means. So far, all the major choices have been more about cheating, with only the minor ones hinting at voyeurism. But with the new hallucinations mechanic, it does feel like things are edging towards cuckolding. Then again, this could just be a showcase—maybe in the future, you’ll get to decide whether you want to see the 'illusion' or not.
