I wonder how anyone who has never heard of SAO even understands what's going on in this game. Asuna and Kirito, they have practically no backstory, without knowing the canon, you won't understand who they are at all. Considering that Fujino has written down the romantic feelings of Asuna and Kirito very poorly, some people will not understand why they are together at all.

Are they really together? Who is Yui, why do they want to "return" her? Why "return"? Where was she before and where should she be returned from? Who are Alice and Klein? Why would they give them time at all? Why doesn't Sinon have a backstory, but so much time is devoted to it? Who is the Administrator? Why doesn't anyone tell you who she is and where she came from? Why do the characters have no backstory at all? What the fuck is going on? What is Aincrad? What kind of Sugo? Where is he torturing Asuna and why??? What's going on anyway? AAAAAAAAA!

If earlier in Fujino's games there was no plot and the games can be perceived as a series of porn videos with little movement between them, then in SAO Fujino decided to tell us a story, but this story does not work at all without knowledge of the canon. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to abstract from the canon when playing such a parody.
well i watched anime about 10 years ago maybe more, and saw only 2 seasons and just remember asuna kirito virtual reality stuck (all my knowledge about the universe), and in fact my mediocre knowledge of those does not cause any problems, since i understand (think) that alice and administrator, klein egil (i don't remember them at all) and maybe other characters have nothing in common with the original versions, they are just skins for the fandom. and I also just read some of the canon knowledge here

They have nothing to do with the original characters, but they don't have any backstory at all. When an author adds a character to a story, it would be very nice if we were told at least 2-3 lines who he is and what he is doing here. Even Inoda told me at the beginning who he was and what he was doing in the game. And the other characters? Do they just exist? In the end, Fujino just hoped that the players knew who all these people were and just didn't make an exhibition.

A man who knows SAO - "Asuna and Kirto survived in Aincrad, Kirito did not play ALFheim, so Asuna was tortured by Sugo and Asuna's father saved her and erased her memory of these events in the hospital." Ok. Let's go!

A man who doesn't know SAO - "Asuna and Kirito (Hmm, okay, but who are they?) survived in Aincrad (where? What is this?), Kirito didn't play ALFheim (Hmm, is this a game?), so Sugo (who is this?) tortured Asuna ( Why? For what purpose was he doing this?), Asuna's father saved her and erased her memory of these events in the hospital." I don't get it... :ROFLMAO:

If you choose to spend time with a fan work about an existing franchise then it is on you to know at least the basics without being explained. That is the advantage of using an existing franchise as basis of your work. I know I don't expect to be explained the details about a franchise if I play a game or read a fanfiction about a franchise I don't know. It is up to the user to get familiar with the details if they are interested.

This reminds me of my friend who watched Fate Zero but not Fate Stay Night. I had to explain some details about the setting of the story since Zero expects the watcher to already know about the settings so they don't spend time explaining a lot of common details.

The game itself has a gallery, which you automatically get there at the end of each game day. The gallery mod simply allows you to view all existing animations without wasting time watching the full scene, but there is no sound or text.
Gotcha, so if i dont care about having to see the full scene then I dont have to worry. There is no extra scenes or anything part of the mod yeah?

No, the mod provides access to all the animations that are in the game, without any unnecessary things.

as far as i understand the mod only adds animations from cameras(those who Kirito spies on Inoda and his "cousin") which for some reason fujino can't add, although i think he could just paste them into inoda's computer and then just have a separate section for them

Any tutorials on how to get all the scenes in Part 2? Because I'm having trouble understanding how to raise Kirito's suspicions.

Need to somehow get to my 3 posts for being allowed to post links at some point, so...

As someone who enjoyed Part 1, is Part 2 really that much "worse" in terms of story etc. as some reviews claim?

I'm a little scared to try it out and taint my perception of the game, although some signatures here suggest at least the animations in part 2 are pretty good...

4.14 Progress Report

Current Progress:
Scripts:20%
Events:10%
CG:5%
Map:50%
Thank everyone for your continued support, and many of you give me a lot of great suggestions. After careful consideration, and since many people want me to add 1 or 2 scenes before AF in event of 7/12, I will spend some time to make that. Creating works that bring joy to everyone has always been my core motivation. I will continue to take each update seriously as always. And sorry for the limited production capacity, as an individual part-time creator, I could hardly spare more time to make the game. I want to ensure the quality without ignoring any event details, so it always takes a lot of time. In addition, the way of expression I used in the events is subtle, so it may cause some misunderstanding. I decide to make a Q&A from time to time. I will pick some frequently-asked or important questions from comments to answer without giving any spoilers in the next report.
e.g., Q&A
Q (No one asked this though): How is the world in this game different from the original anime work?
A: The "Fairy Dance" and "Phantom Bullet" stories did not happen. Since the SEED was not open-sourced by Kirito, there are no large numbers of VR games like in the original work. FOG is the best choice available to all players.
Q: Why is the CG action design so conservative this time?
A: Considering the particularity of Asuna and Inoda's first voluntary real-life sex, she may refuse some advanced sexual positions. As the plot develops, the interaction between the two will escalate. Please look forward to it.
首期Q&A:
Q(這個沒人問,我自己想問一下,哈哈):氣息遮蔽的世界和原著有什麼不同?
