I only recently decided to try this and part 1 out, and binge played both, so I wasn't aware that they said that there wouldn't be a third part. Could you link/screenshot the post of him saying it? I'd like to know!

He answered when asked questions and said that the game might go beyond version 1.0 but there will be no part 3, also because if he wanted to do part three, he wouldn't have sped up the game.
