Out of curiosity, does anyone know what engine part 2 runs on? It is an RPGMaker version or something else?
There may be another delay, for there have been instances of Fujino uploading updates and Monday night updates when the update was ready
Such a long delay will badly affect the next update. Either the bun update is small or there will be a delay again.

From now on Fujino will delivery the next updates probably between days 7 to 10 in each month.
The final update and the possible epilogue we only going to get next year.
This is not the August update anymore, it will count as the September one unless Fujino manage to do another one before 30 of September which will be very unlikely to happen.
Taking into account his IRL work, such a big delay tells that Fujino is having difficulties to make the transition from the quarantine arc back to Tokyo as well maybe the old problem of overused maps is creeping out again who knows.
I mean, not really?? It could also just be exactly what Fujino said...he literally couldn't work in the game for a whole week or more so he had to make up for it XP Today is the first 'realistic' day we can expect the update since he announced the delay, really, but yeah, unless he takes a couple weeks off/makes a two month update next/makes a super small one next, the schedule is gonna change from now on because of the unexpected delay for this one :O

I took his IRL work into consideration, but even in that week off he managed to progress with the update a little.
I mean has been almost 10 days to do what 25% of the update, this sounds like problems or bugs, Fujino never adrees the problem with the overused maps he just been using the same maps for almost a year now hotel room, office and Kirito flat, and one time only maps most in FOG now he need to use the old city maps again.
It's telling he's having problems in the last portion of the update which by logic should happen in the city.

Yeah, like, we know he has had problems ever since the game reached a certain size and he refused to split it further into Part 3 because of the 'choices' he had implemented, but to be fair you shouldn't compare to him having a week off with him saying he would be too busy to do any progress for at least a week, I'm just saying he may have been busier IRL than he made it seem, which wouldn't surprise, work can sometimes get pretty stressful and in the way of your hobbies, and I'm not even in a situation as precarious as Fujino is.
Regardless, we should knoow for sure in a few more hours.
