Everyone needs to remember that Asna is on her period in real life and sex is prohibited in the game. It won't be until next month

Incorrect. The ritual could not start when she was on her period. The first time they went to the temple they could not start the ritual and had to wait until Asuna's period was over. Now the ritual has started Asuna can't have sex in FOG or the ritual will fail.

Exactly, and people keep treating this as a 'global' thing despite how we have no confirmation otherwise, the ritual may not be affected at all by IRL sex after all, so that may be Inoda's "victory goal" XD (Either that or the ritual fails because she couldn't help but fuck Inoda anyway, but that would be a copout).

Reading this when you didn't play the game past v0.3 is kinda wild.
Is it confirmed somewhere that the Real world part of the game is real and not a simulation?
The fact that the Administrator is in the Real world and regulate/manipulate Kirito's anxiety is so fishy

So my theory about Inoda's fantasies in a coma is real?
But in general I think it's a game convention, after all she's kind of a goddess. And the council can turn men into women very quickly:whistle:

Well, we don’t have any confirmation on whether the real world is actually real, and the Admin isn’t technically present there. Instead, she seems to operate from some kind of in-between dream world, acting through her minions in the council, who appear to possess futuristic technology. She’s also seemingly capable of performing miracles that influence the real world, such as erasing memories and altering human mental and physical states.

Haven't played the game in a long time. What does the ritual consist of, basically? Why can't Asuna have sex because of the ritual?

Because of the rules of passage, it is impossible to pass the challenge, just like it was with menstruation.

Care to elaborate bit more? What are those rules? And what does menstruation have to do with anything?

Rules for passing the challenge. In general, to pass the first test, we had to wait until Asuna had her period in irl. To pass the second test, you can't have sex. It seems that they didn't specify whether it was only in fog or in irl, but some people wrote here that it was only in fog. This is probably true.

It's like you want to explain it and it's clear in your head but the more you put it in word the more you realise that it's makes no sense in the end.
That ritual is something out of the box from the Evil council or Asuna & Co are on a FOG quest that have restriction to go through each "door" ?
The ritual is in FOG or Irl? If it's in FOG then why does Irl status count for it?
Do we know the purpose of that ritual?

I don't think they explained why Asuna can't have sex after the second trial but the reason the first trial can't begin was because Asuna was on her period and the quest NPCs consider menstrual bleeding to be unclean so they had to wait until Asuna was "cleansed".

The ritual is a FOG in-game event to get a AI child as a game companion. Kirito and Asuna wanted to use this event to get Yui back. The ritual requires the parents and two god-parents to pass three trials. They couldn't start the trials when Asuna was on her period as I explained. It was not explained how the game knew Asuna was on period. Maybe if Asuna said she the was not on period the game could not check. Or maybe in Fujino's world the VR headset can read EVERYTHING about the user's body. Only he knows.
