Ok I finally figured out why all the recent updates seem to suck so much compared to the earlier updates. People say because it's too slow but that is really not it.

It's because there is just nothing to do. In the earlier updates there was actually a city to explore. In fact I was annoyed that I wasn't sure that I always got all all the content. Now it's just point A to B with a minor (and obvious) distraction. In this case the workplace laptop but nothing else. This update seems good, but only because the one thing we all have been waiting for finally happened but it's really not. It's just a natural story climax right now.

Even the story telling got worse.

The treehouse incident is the perfect framework so just repeat that. Instead of Kirito fighting off screen and then switching, show Kirito fighting that guy and give us a sneak preview of Asuna fucking Inoda.

Agree with you the game is worse off without exploration. In Part 1 in-between plot events you can go out of your way to see NPCs and see what their subplots are developing. They had nothing to do with the plot but it was still a fun to thing to do. In the early parts of Part 2 you can still explore the city and sometimes you found the other characters mini-events and see what they are up to. But there was a reason for why exploration was removed. After a while all the mini-events were causing a lot of bugs. So the game had to be streamlined to focus on the main plot. It sucks but I understand why exploration had to be removed.

The story I don't have strong opinions. You like or you don't. Not much to say about it.

The treehouse event was PEAK! Nothing like hearing Swordland play while Kirito is protecting Inoda so he can safely plow Asuna! But at least Fujino has been trying to switch up his events so there are some variations. The Gem Cave Maze last update and the Final Ritual Heart monitor this update were fairly fun alternatives to peak at what Inoda and Asuna is doing behind Kirito's back. It was not as peak as the treehouse event but it is a high bar to surpass!

Yes, in general, I don't care about Asuna and Inoda. Inoda, even though he's fuck Kyoko, he could only get a job as a janitor. So if you imagine their future, it's not very enviable if Asuna is constantly pregnant and Inoda is too dumb to get a proper job. They'll cling to Kyoko and live off her money. Yeah, so many ruined lives because of a big dick and a dumb woman. It's funny that some authors in their NTR games present the fact that the heroine stays with some fat old homeless man as a victory, and the normal guy she cheated on lost - even though he's an ordinary guy, studies and lives and this guy has a normal future.

And at the moment, in Fujino's game, I'm more interested in finding out how the plot ends with the Council and whether Sinon and Suguha will win their battles.

From what we know, it should be a pretty long scene. Lots of dialogue. Lots of progression. They go from 'okay maybe one anal' to 'okay I'll be your sex friend and let you fuck my pussy, with a condom'. And we know it's not a one and done because the room has at least three spent, full condoms strewn around. That said, I feel like it should be mostly done after five days of extra work? But maybe he needs the weekend to polish it off. We'll see.

Yes, in general, I don't care about Asuna and Inoda. Inoda, even though he's fuck Kyoko, he could only get a job as a janitor. The influence of the Shadow Fox—the fact that he’s now increasing pressure on Sinon means that if he finds out about Suguha as her ally or helper, he could try to use her as leverage. Manipulation, mind control, or even direct violence are very real possibilities.
Suguha’s new power is another flag that could lead to her downfall. It might be unstable or come with serious side effects. It’s possible that Suguha doesn’t even fully understand what she’s paying in return—be it her health, memories, emotions, or even control over her own body.
So while it may look like Suguha has everything "under control" right now, in a world ruled by forces like these, that kind of stability is almost always an illusion. Especially when "NTR gyarous", "Councils", and the dark underbelly of the AV industry start getting involved

Remember, even though the update was by no means 'small', in-game it was actually just 2 days happening and they were entirely focused on the main plot, so it's no wonder nobody else got focus XP

The character of Asuna's father is not fully understood in Fujino's game. He kind of pulled Asuna out of the game, but he couldn't put Sugo in jail. It seems to have some kind of influence, but somehow this influence is too vague. It wouldn't be surprising if Fujino just adds a weak-willed character for another round of "NTR" with Kyoko.
