Such a trend seems to lead to an ending in which, if Kirito scores a lot of "prurience", then he and Asuna will simply part ways without any drama and go their separate ways. Fujino makes the relationship cool on both sides, not just on Asuna's side. I wonder what it leads to. With this arrangement, the endings of "Happy Cuck" and "forgetful cuck" are not actual.

So looking forward, what do we have left;

Slower updates. Fujino has clearly been struggling to get out the workhe wants to, and on time. Can't say why. Maybe he's having trouble balancing his work/life balance. He is also adding/experimenting with new systems, which can slow development time. And looking what he has left to do, there's no way to get it all done on time with just 4 monthly updates.

Suspected 4 updates remaining; but there's no way to fit in all the milestones left without making the next updates just a flurry of important progression moments. And we know Fujino wants to bring the Administrator/Council plot forward next update too, and eventually that's going to need to come to some conclusion. I actually expect the update numbers will start shrinking as we get closer to 1.0, so that it's not actually 4 updates left. But then again, if he's going to take two months per update, maybe he can squeeze in all the content with only 4 updates. Feels like a sprint to the finish line though, when he could easily milk it for several more months of peak content.
