Hell knows. It is rather poorly opened. There were a few phrases about how he was looking out for Kirito out of gratitude for Aincrad, but he didn't care about anything else that was going on around Kirito. Pulling Kirito out of the depths of depression due to Asuna's betrayal is not his job. In short, another character who knows everything, but does nothing, but simply exists. I think the game's plot and the NTR plotline doesn't allow Inoda and Asuna to be touched, so for now it's a useless character.
