Jesus Christ, the latest update REALLY made a lot of people completely lose their minds, huh XD?

Any idea when will the next update drop? End of july?
We should have a clarification next week when Fujino drops the next progress report, I imagine, unless he suddenly announces a delay/break

V0.85 Mod v1
Rec Room MODv1 Gifs only for Part IIv0.85

Replace .json file in www -> Data folder
You can use the savefile30 or go in/out of the shrine map to update the map

===
The Gallery Mod is not affected by bugfix from Fujino, Gallery mod from major update like 0.60 to 0.65 or 0.65 to 0.70 will work with any bugfixed like v0.701 or v0.702 etc
Unless Fujino edit the Animated loop directory for a bugfix but those are stored in .js file not .json file so the base game is not affected by the gallery mod
===

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I used the mod but the gallery is all in Japanese language. Is there a fix or am I doing something wrong?

This cannot be ruled out. On Patreon, he is generally signed with the name of a female character - Asagami Fujino from the anime Kara no Kyoukai from TYPE-moon. Why did he use the name of the female character specifically? What if Fujino is actually a woman? In Chinese, when referring to a person or an object, there is no gender difference(masculine, feminine, neuter), in Chinese, he, she, it sounds the same - tā. And verbs do not incline by gender, and nouns are same-sex, or rather asexual. So even if Fujino translates from Chinese into English, it is impossible to understand who he is, a man or a woman.
If Fujino is a she, then why pretend to be Inoda in this game, wouldn't it have been better if she pretended to be Asuna, the slut? xD

Well, at least some kind of entertainment. I'm currently sitting in a room with two comatose patients and it's pretty boring here. :WutFace:Why not discuss something? Of course, you can just not write anything, will it make it easier for someone? If only for moderators.

Who wants to pretend to be a whore? If Fujino is a woman, it's more likely that she's jealous of a beautiful couple like Asuna and Kirito. Therefore, Miss Fujino :LUL: threw Kirito into the mud, and Asuna was sent to the dick of a fat, pimply psychopath. Women are treacherous and relentless in their hatred.:ROFLMAO:

Personally I would have preferred if there were more villains in this game, PK, Laughing Coffin, the street thugs, the perverts that hide in the alleys

You mean the choices and little text display, yeah that's normal it's for verifications/memos purpose on my parts.
Especialy with update 1 or 2 month apart with Fujino adding stuff to old library rather than making new one.
Well the purpose of the gallery mod:
1 Removing any obstruction, like added curtain frame or blur effect - But it's useless with part 2
2 Finding unused content, only 1 so far and with the game being this big Fujino won't left any
3 In-menu Gif trigger

If Fujino really hated Kirito, he wouldn’t have given him four or three (well, maybe not Liz) extra girlfriends
To reply to this comment, and also mos555's question about what Kirito's role is in the plot (sorry I can't find your original post), I can share a theory developed by Chinese fans. Not mine, but I think maybe it makes some sense.

Let me try to present it as clear as possible:

1. Initially Fujino only planned to design Kirito as just a blind observer who has no idea what happens to the girls around him (pretty much the SAO 1 story, SAO 2 early plots, and he always did this in his previous games).

2. Remember people say Asuna is hypocritical when she enjoys her relationship with Inoda but still says she loves Kirito. Maybe Fujino is bothered by this, because he immerses himself as Inoda.

3. So he chose to do two things:
One, change Asuna's memories so that Asuna now loves Inoda.
And two, make Kirito cheat behind Asuna' back (not sure if you agree, but Kirito having sex with other girls seems to be out of expectation)

4. Then we arrive at this point:
Asuna is no longer hypocritical because she only has sex with her true love, just one person, the person she truly loves (and she doesn't love Kirito that much, at least not her true love).
Instead, Kirito now becomes hypocritical because he cheats while he still loves Asuna the most. Him having sex (or about to) with more girls will make him even more hypocritical.

So now, Asuna is justified. Who can blame her if she only has sex with her true love/boyfriend/husband?
As for Kirito, he is hypocritical, because he messes with, and want to have sex with four girls.

I hope I have shown the logic in a clear way. This is just a theory and maybe it can explain some patterns especially in recent updates. But of course, you decide what you believe.

Well, this is a love story between Inoda and Asuna, so a lot of villains are just not necessary. I also used to wonder why Asuna doesn't fuck with anyone but Inoda. But if Fujino is writing a story that should end like a vanilla harem for one person, then everything falls into place.

In my opinion Fujino is jealous of Kirito, because it seemed like he was going to make a harem for Kirito but he stopped "no no it's too much, all the girls must be mine, enough, you have to lose because I've decided"

Well, let's say I agree. Fujino calmed his conscience, turned Asuna from a whore of a hypocrite into a righteous loving wife, and Kirito once again dragged in the mud. But that doesn't answer the question of why Kirito is needed at all. Kirito's role as a blind observer is too insignificant for him, after all, the main character and only thanks to him, NTR works in this game. I can come to the conclusion that Fujino just doesn't know what to do with Kirito himself. He cannot remove him from the plot, so he constantly strengthens Inoda and constantly weakens Kirito. Fujino can easily replace Kirito with some kind of orginal character who will watch Inoda assemble a harem, but then the game will break down completely. But the fact that Fujino still has such an opportunity makes Kirito unnecessary in this game at all.

P.s In my opinion, I wrote it somehow incomprehensibly. The fucking translator. In short, Fujino can throw Kirito out of the game because the end goal won't change, but he can't throw him out because he's the main character and the game doesn't work without him. But in the end, Kirito's efficiency in the game is almost zero. Even the scenes with Kirito, Asuna, and Inoda will no longer have the same effect as before.

Kirito is like the batteries of a device, without him, it doesn't work.

Compared to the comments from Chinese fans, I believe it's better to analyze based on Fujino's own writing. With the additional content from 0.851, I think Inoda is now more like Asuna's ex-boyfriend or ex-fuckbuddy, rather than her true love. Fujino clearly states that Asuna still loves Kirito deeply, just not as much as before.

Fujino never uses Kirito's extra girlfriends as a reason for Asuna to justify herself. Asuna completely breaks down after seeing "Kirito" having sex with Leafa at the brothel, but when she regains her composure, her first reaction is to blame herself for neglecting Kirito, causing him to seek excitement outside. She doesn't confront Kirito or emotionally blackmail him. In the later plot, when she faces Leafa, she clearly recognizes her as the girl from the brothel but still maintains her dignity.

Now, this game has slowly evolved into a complex type of game, not just a straightforward NTR game. Looking at the love triangle between Kirito, Asuna, and Inoda, it still retains elements of NTR. From Kirito's side of the story, he clearly begins to enjoy the treatment of a typical male protagonist in the game - forming relationships and connections with as many girls as possible. Additionally, I believe this is also considering multiple endings. Here's an example I've mentioned multiple times on different forums: Sinon's livestream plot. If Kirito cooperates with her livestream, Sinon will only have the minister lick her boots, without any direct contact. But if Kirito refuses, Sinon will have sex with the minister. In other words, each girl's fate depends on Kirito (the player)'s choices (except for Liz, I'm pretty sure she's destined for Inoda). If the player chooses to deepen their relationships with them, they will belong to Kirito. If Kirito insists on being a pure and good boyfriend, they will become someone else's plaything or shared property.

My personal life is different from yours (of course everyone's life is special), but I relate to you bro, and I believe many others too.

Like I posted, you cannot deny that this update is offensive to many people, either people who like SAO (such as drag0nf6y) or not SAO fans at all (like me). It's okay if you don't feel offended or you don't understand why it's offensive, but our feelings are as authentic as yours.

Fujino has to remember that many people play his game because he has taken the advantage of a well-known established universe. If this game were completely original with original characters and backgrounds, he may do whatever he wants, but I wonder whether it would be an equally big hit as it is now.
i really don’t care anymore since i won’t be playing this game again. but thanks for saying all that, m8. i really appreciate it! based.gif

Maybe the reasons are simple:

At the beginning: Kirito is the MC of SAO with a loving girlfriend plus many other girls around him, so he is a perfect target for NTR.

In the process: Kirito remains a blind observer as Fujino always does this in his games (can be justified by "this is a NTR game so the MC cannot be too smart", and many people are okay with this).

Later: When Fujino projects him more into Inoda and more and more loves Asuna, Kirito is used to respond to the claim that "Asuna is hypocritical" (maybe Fujino cannot stand this "critique" of the character he likes so much). So Kirito starts to cheat with other girls and becomes hypocritical.

Now: Since Fujino plans to go back to his original plan, maybe Kirito will return to his original role: Knows nothing while his girls are taken away. So to speak, his mere existence is to let Inoda (the author himself) takes away his girls. Maybe this is how Fujino understands what is NTR.

She doesn't confront Kirito or emotionally blackmail him.
At the same time, she immediately takes revenge on Kirito and agrees when Inoda says that Kirito is "a loser with a small dick." It's definitely love.:sneaky:

In the later plot, when she faces Leafa, she clearly recognizes her as the girl from the brothel but still maintains her dignity.
Asuna couldn't recognize Lifa, it violates the rules of the game that Fujino himself set. When Lyfa dresses like Flora with a veil on her face, she becomes a different character. If Asuna recognized her, then it creates a hole in the plot. Asuna simply says, "I think I've seen you somewhere," but this may refer to an ordinary meeting in the city, because Lifa sometimes walks around the city.

This would be logical if the choises had real-time consequences, but for now, all that's affected by the choises in the game is whether we watch an additional scene or not. And whether there will be any further consequences is up to Fujino to decide, and he may well forget about it in order to quickly and easily end the game in favor of Inoda

The game absolutely cannot be called a "complex type of NTR" because it is linear to the core. "Nebel Geisterjager" can be called a complex type game because everything depends on the player's actions and there are many possible scenarios. But SAO just rushes forward like a train, and the players just ride this train, unable to change anything. This is the simplest and laziest type of NTR games.:WeSmart:
