I always liked this game even if some they didn't understand how to play and complained that you had to grind for hours to get some NTR scenes, it was a game against time because you knew that at a certain time around 8:30 pm something would happen and you had to get there quickly to stop it

To reply to this comment, and also mos555's question about what Kirito's role is in the plot (sorry I can't find your original post), I can share a theory developed by Chinese fans. Not mine, but I think maybe it makes some sense.

Let me try to present it as clear as possible:

1. Initially Fujino only planned to design Kirito as just a blind observer who has no idea what happens to the girls around him (pretty much the SAO 1 story, SAO 2 early plots, and he always did this in his previous games).

2. Remember people say Asuna is hypocritical when she enjoys her relationship with Inoda but still says she loves Kirito. Maybe Fujino is bothered by this, because he immerses himself as Inoda.

3. So he chose to do two things:
One, change Asuna's memories so that Asuna now loves Inoda.
And two, make Kirito cheat behind Asuna' back (not sure if you agree, but Kirito having sex with other girls seems to be out of expectation)

4. Then we arrive at this point:
Asuna is no longer hypocritical because she only has sex with her true love, just one person, the person she truly loves (and she doesn't love Kirito that much, at least not her true love).
Instead, Kirito now becomes hypocritical because he cheats while he still loves Asuna the most. Him having sex (or about to) with more girls will make him even more hypocritical.

So now, Asuna is justified. Who can blame her if she only has sex with her true love/boyfriend/husband?
As for Kirito, he is hypocritical, because he messes with, and want to have sex with four girls.

I hope I have shown the logic in a clear way. This is just a theory and maybe it can explain some patterns especially in recent updates. But of course, you decide what you believe.

Even if you only look at the new map, I think it will proceed similarly.
Unintentional memory reorganization that turned into true love.
Inoda and Asuna are innocent.

He left Asuna alone while he tried to save the girls, which ultimately led to her betrayal.
Kirito is guilty.

As punishment for his crime, the remaining girls that Kirito saved are all taken by Inoda.
I hope not, but looking at the process so far, it seems like this is the conclusion we will reach.

There is always an asian, who does something better than everyone else. Inoda - is asian. Fujino has enhanced Inoda so much that I wouldn't be surprised if he got into the bunker under the White House to fuck Asuna.

Or who are you talking about? The word "dude" is not entirely clear. In this game, almost everyone enter somewhere - either into the core of the AI, or into Asuna's ass.

Imagining fucking a fictional character is some kind of special kind of escapism - an escape from reality into a fantasy world. I never imagined that I was fucking Asuna, just because of internal contradictions. Firstly, she is a pure and kind girl in the canon, and secondly, I have not yet gone crazy enough to play the NTR game about Asuna, and then also imagine NTR with Asuna in my head.

At least Fujino didn't make Asuna join Laughing Coffin—unlike some doujins I've seen. And let's be honest, most doujins either twist or expand on the original story, pairing Asuna with Klein, Andrew, or whoever. So I don't see how Fujino's take is somehow 'disrespectful' to the source material. Unless you think all SAO fanworks are insults to the original—and hey, maybe you're right. But this is just part of Japanese fan culture. I doubt even Kawahara Reki cares that much. After all, when I searched for SAO on ehentai, there were a whopping 1,800+ results - with the majority being Japanese-created works. Over this past decade, neither Kawahara Reki nor Kadokawa Corporation appear to have filed a single lawsuit against any doujin artists.

he wrote everything didn't go according to plan, not as he originally intended, suguha was saved by fans and not fujino, yes he made the final decision, he probably overestimated himself, and now maybe he just decided to go back to basics quickly enslave all female characters, but for now these are just theories, or he decided to give false hope and ruin it
