Yeah, that didn't feel like a .90. Not enough happened. It was so short it felt like a .855. Even the rimjob that was hinted at months ago was weak. But maybe (as seen here) he got too much negative feedback about that particular sex act and opted to play it safe. And Inoda is still using condoms, so not even any progression in their status. Yeah, this was an update to catch up the Kirito/Sugu/Sinon side of things, but it should have been the nastiest, freakiest Inoda/Asuna update yet. Maybe next month.

Also it feels like Fujino always forgets to update Asuna's 'last sex' tracker these days. Like she's definitely having so much sex with Inoda, but it only updates once every few days.

How you and everyone else wants to interpret Asuna's actions and feelings is up to you. But if you are asking what Asuna's actual thoughts and feelings are then her stats and perks list are the best place to know. There are meant to be her unfiltered thoughts. If you think she is lying to herself or she is psycho then fine. But you are asking if she feels regret. She says she feels regret in her stats so she believes it. If you don't believe her then fine but it is what Fujino wants us to know.
Well, it's not a text-based RPG, but more of a visual novel, and I'm more focused on what I'm shown during the movement of events and the plot. So it's more accurate to say that it's not that I don't believe Asuna, but rather that I experience a cogentive dissonance between her statistics and her behavior on the screen during the game.

From my point of view, this is a failure. And Fujino is basically telling us - "Don't look at how I've implemented the visual representation of Asuna, but just look at the numbers and a few sentences in the statistics."

I don't understand why he's doing this. Why is there such a difference between Asuna's hypothetical and actual behavior?

To be fair to the nearly blind Kirito-kun, there are always something blocking his view. Sometimes static, shadows, curtains, or awkward angles blocking his view. Even that picture in your post Kirito did not see. It was only shown to us while Kirito was busy.
Well, here, of course, is one of the funniest NTR stupidities.

I don't understand this, because after one year of being with my wife, I was able to recognize her in almost any way. From behind, from above, from the side, from below, by the shape of her ears, by the color of her hair, eyes, voice, by any mole on her body or by the shape of her body itself, by the phrases she says.

And Kirito has known Asuna for 4 years, and Fujino's desperate actions to "turn off Kirito's brain" look about the same as trying to plug a hole in the Titanic with wax. Stupid and helpless. I would understand if Asuna and Kirito had only been dating for 2 weeks at the beginning of the game. But it's been 4 years... I didn't pay attention to such moments before, but the quarantine arch just brings such disastrous actions to the fore. It's one thing when Inoda becomes invisible and Kirito can't recognize anything, but it's quite another when Kirito can't recognize Asuna by the color of her hair or by the side of her face or by her voice. Asuna and Kirito don't seem to know each other at all or know each other at the level of a couple who haven't even had sex yet.

Quarantine arc actually showed how bad Fujino is at writing the plot of events and explaining questionable points.

In a whisper: "Very bad..."

It would be better if he continued to make games without a plot and without corruption.

I think I understand you now. You and I have different expectations for Fujino. I have long accepted he has sacrificed difficult and consistent story telling to focus on making more CGs since he has limit time off work to make content each month. So a lot of events and plots don't make sense. Like if Asuna's behavior does not match her intentions she will still act a certain way for sex scenes to happen.

Since I know Fujino is choosing to make more CG sex scenes these "failures" as you call them don't bother me. I am guessing if he spend more time making everything consistent it would mean less sex scenes and more people will complain about that. So he choose to focus on what more people want, SEX!

Not recognizing your partner even if she is being banged right next to you is one of the oldest NTR tropes. Of course no one would believe that would happen in real life but it is common in these stories so if course it is used a lot. Maybe the absurdity is why it stays for so long. No one would believe they wouldn't recognize their partner so it makes the story more of a fantasy?

It's funny that when this technique is used in games, there is always a scene in which the main character says -

"I think I recognize this hair color and voice... No, it can't be, why would she do that?"

But there had never been such a thing in this game, Kirito had never even thought for a second that it could be Asuna(but the "anxiety" is still growing...).

And it would be fine if it was 1 time, well 2 times... To hell with it, 3 times, but Kirito within a week, He peeps almost every day. I haven't counted exactly, but we have about 15+ scenes where Kirito hears Asuna's voice, sees parts of her body, and sometimes partially sees her face. If it really looked like a fantasy before, then from a certain point on it starts to get more and more annoying. Fujino, to put it mildly, went overboard with these scenes, that even if you perceive these scenes as fantasies, they are already some kind of hackneyed and annoying fantasies.:cautious:

Imagine if Kirito didn't recognize his sister, who he knows better than Asuna, I would have said that this thing is not feasible

Great update, short yes but straight to the point with hot CGs.

Game became stale. There is no thrill anymore. Best part of the game is the initial corruption, hidden elements etc. Games can be too short sometimes, this one is too long for its own good. He should have ended it sometime ago and just started a new project.
I couldn't say it better. If it weren't for the parallel storylines, the game should have ended with the next update at the JR station.

Does anyone know if any updates are missing, like in other updates, or if they will be released later?

Well, we still need to wait the grand reveal and for Asuna's favorability to actually go on Inoda's side.

I mean, that literally already happened back in Part 1 lmao, when Hebishima was livestreaming taking Sugu's virginity at the hotel XP
Let us not forget he still has not realized Suguha, Leafa, and Flora are the same person. Even though they all have the same voice. Plus Leafa and Flora should look the same except for different outfits.

I would laugh out loud if Kirito finally realized they are the same person after a sexual act. Like if he recognize her technique not her looks. :ROFLMAO:

Logically, Kirito, due to his problem with recognizing people, should not recognize Asuna when she returns from quarantine.

"Oh, that's strange, Inoda got off the train with some girl... Where's Asuna?"

P.s If she dresses up in one of Liz's costumes and does a different hairstyle... :WeSmart:
