It's simple, because as Fujino said, the NTR part is finished the rest is just wild vanilla sex
Even Fujino is getting tired and he certainly won't prolong this agony, the longer it goes on the more it loses its meaning.

Actually there's no much more story to be told in this game when you think about it, the Asuna fall is almost complete, just a few plot points remain to be done, Creampie sex, Group Sex and IRL impregnation.

The others characters didn't had any big developmets so they will be used as plot devices to move the plot towards any ending Fujino come up with.
And being honest, we'd never had that much of a deep story here to justify a game over 50 hours long, Fujino did padded the story just to make it bigger that should have been.

The Bilbo quote sumarize the general feeling about the story right now "I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread,"

Fujino in his next project need to find the balance for his story pacing something between insta corruption and slow burn corruption, but that will depend over which IP he will work now, the front runners are Naruto or My dress up darling if i'm no mistaken, i my opinion neither are good choices, Naruto has the potencial to be even longer than SAO by the sheer number of characters alone, and My dress up darling coud go insta corruption in a heart beat given the few characters that it have.

This is know for a long time now, but his mistake was the story reset from part 1 to part 2, until the treehouse event he was basically redoing the part 1, that's why the part 2 feel so stretched.

Part 1 had elements of this. There were scenes you could miss if you didn't explore everywhere. I wish he had stayed with this style of game, because I generally enjoy open worlds more than linear stories. Maybe his next game can go back to it.

I don't want to bring politics here, but yesterday trump signed a executive order for the banks, so that they can't block payments for any reason other than illegal or monetary reasons, and it's pretty broad, if it counts also for payment processors(visa/mastercard) it should help to restore steam and itch games, this doesn't count for what the UK has done but it can help I hope

EDIT: there is a 6 month delay in the order until it becomes active

When I start working on 6/23 the screen goes dark and nothing happens, is there any way to fix it?

Had an issue like that. Unfortunately the only solution I found was creating a new save. Fortunately, you dont have to start ALL the way back at the beginning. Before that though, it might benefit you to delete your save folder and start fresh (copy is first if youd like). Reason is that, this is my understanding so may not be 100%, your file# rpgsave files hold your stats like anxiety, Asuna's Lust, etc. while the drill/config rpgsave files hold story progression data. Sometimes the game doesnt update progression properly and you start skipping around in days, lose actions like logging into FOG. Cant really explain the black screen, I had that happen when trying to leave work but it is a sign that your save might be messed up.
