What does this phrase mean? Either the translation is not quite correct, or I don't understand something...

Does it say in Chinese that "Inoda has no right to compete", which means that Kirito (now) is not worthy to compete with Inoda, or does it mean that Kirito will be more important to Asuna than Inoda anyway?

If Fujino meant that Kirito could no longer compete with Inoda, then what was the point of continuing the game? After all, one of the main aspects of the NTR game is the moral dilemma of the girl who cheats. If Asuna has already made up her mind, then what's the point of dragging this thing on?
In case someone else has not already explained this. Inoda cannot openly compete for Asuna because he is not an socially acceptable boyfriend for Asuna. As everyone in the game says he is ugly and poor while Kirito is handsome and capable. He really has nothing going for him except his big dick and luck. Inoda can't announce he is best for Asuna because he has a big dick and makes her cum all day. Face means a lot to Asian culture so Asuna won't admit she likes Inoda over Kirito. So he has to work in secret to make her his dick slave without the outside world knowing. Also if Kirito knew he would kick his ass.

And 21 years old, older than all of them :LUL: other major characters are 19 something years old.
Pretty sure in Fujino's game all the other girls were aged up to 21 to make them legal too. Like at some point in the game they just celebrated Asuna's 21st birthday.

Do we know when Part 1 started in-game? I know Part 2 starts 5/30 in-game. If Fujino wants to end the main story by the end of July then that means Inoda got Asuna go from not wanting to be near him to his dick slave in two in-game months.

Did Asuna mention it somewhere in the game, at least once? I can remember Kyoko telling Inoda not to even think about Asuna. As they say in China, "a frog does not dare to think about swan's meat."
Liz and Suguha talked about ugliness and poverty (I may not remember Sinon), but we only care about Asuna's thoughts and opinions on this issue. Asuna herself had never said or even thought before that she would be ashamed to date Inoda because of her appearance (she also never said that she could not break up with Kirito because of his social status or appearance), but now that she is in love with Inoda and I've acquired memories of their 4-year relationship, the only problem is Kirito.

Asuna is a separate character, and what Liz thinks or says that Inoda is a freak has no effect on Asuna. At least there are no moments in the game where it would affect Asuna. Fujino throws words at us that "Inoda is not a competitor for Kirito," but in the game itself there is no mention at all that for Asuna there is some kind of social competition between Inoda and Kirito. Asuna falls in love with Inoda during the ritual, and the only reason she can't think about that love is Kirito, not social condemnation. That is, there is no reason in the game for Asuna to stay with Kirito instead of leaving him and fuck with her beloved piglet.

I may be wrong or I remember something wrong (Mandela effect), but I seriously don't remember social condemnation ever being mentioned by Asuna as an obstacle to breaking up with Kirito and loving Inoda. That's why I always say that there's no reason for Asuna and Kirito to be together other than NTR, but Fujino is constantly trying to deny this through strange, unrealistic information that doesn't relate at all to what we see in the game...

Yes you are right in thinking that Asuna does not mind Inoda's appearance one bit according to Fujino's writing. However, other members have pointed out that his appearance IS an issue as mentioned by the likes of Liz, Kyoko and other students in the school. Why does Asuna even wants to get close to Inoda then? Mainly because of guilt (Inoda saving her and hurting himself in the process) as well as her sheer kindness in trying to help the less fortunate as much as possible. Fujino just wrote her character in a way where she was easily manipulated and coerced into doing sexual favours instead of brushing them off like a normal human being.

I'm not saying this is how she should behave, I'm just interpreting Fujino's flawed version of Asuna & Kirito in his game. That was his way of advancing the NTR plotline. He may well regret certain writing decisions he made in the past but he's into the deep end now and he can't back away from his original plot devices. Thus he chose to use memory manipulation to make Asuna fall even harder rather than some other NTR trope.

We have to remember THIS IS Fujino's idea and vision of the story. We can argue and speculate all we want and how we expect the characters to behave. This is just how he wants to convey his story.

And to add about the ending in July part. He probably means in-game July as right now we are in the middle of July in the game and he plans to wrap up the main story by the end of in-game July and then start an epilogue of some sorts in August/September.

I'd bet on Asuna being all noble and good. She doesn't care about her boyfriend's wealth and beauty. She can love sincerely without any social self-interest.
At first she felt sorry for him and had a certain maternal instinct. Then she gradually became more and more accustomed to Inoda and his penis, so that even the stink of it was no longer a problem for her.)

I have another question - 7/18 when Kirito comes to his apartment and starts calling Asuna, the game suddenly goes back to the Main Menu. Is this all there is so far, or is it a bug?

The problem is that if Asuna had been noble and kind, the first thing she would have done after cheating would have been to confess to Kirito and they would have broken up. But no. Asuna is hypocritical and rather stupid in the game, judging by how she doesn't notice Inoda's actions and manipulations.

And what do we have in the end?

Asuna - hypocritical, without any social or personal prejudices about appearance (at least, it is clear from the game), for no reason, continues to "date" for some reason (in fact, for the last six months, even in status, she has not directly confirmed that she considers Kirito her boyfriend. If Fujino insists on it so much, why does he forget to mention it?) with Kirito, despite the fact that she is in love (or rather has been in love for a long time, already like "4 years") with Inoda.

"Inoda is not Kirito's competitor" is, apparently, Fujino's failed attempt to explain why, with all these data, Asuna is still dating Kirito. It didn't work out.

Asuna didn't say anything about Inoda's appearance or abilities. She might even likes it but that is not the point. It still goes back to how society will think of their relationship. Fujino is Chinese and his main audience is Chinese so you have to think like them. Again face is very important to their culture. Kirito is considered worthy to people other than Kyouko. But Inoda is not. If he tried to court Asuna no one would take him seriously. If Asuna accepts his feelings then she would be shamed for lowering herself. It might be me overthinking it with Chinese cultural beliefs implications. It is like why in the perks Asuna thought giving birth to Inoda's child is payment for him leaving her alone.

Playing through Part 2 for the first time, and I have to say, I find Inoda so pathetic that I can't even get mad at him lmao. Like he's the main antagonist, but he's just such a loser. Whenever he randomly gets jealous of Kirito and complains about being cucked I completely forget all of his past victories. If anything I find myself getting annoyed by Asuna more often than Inoda for her pure hypocrisy in and out of the game. She's doing something wrong, knows she's doing something wrong, makes no action to amend the situation, yet still finds a way to blame Kirito for things that he does.

I mean seriously, she started getting suspicious and emotional over Kirito presumably going to brothels in game? You're not mad about him cheating, you're mad about "lying"? Literally last scene you just got bent over and fucked by Inoda while invisible and your boyfriend was still in the room lmao

For an NTR protagonist, Kirito actually has a lot of room to grow and level up if you aqquire his lust points or whatever. Leave Asuna for Inoda at this point, go get a harem or something idk

When he said July he is referring to the game time not ours lol, also it seems that they are going to have sex with YUI and really hard, it was to be expected that the other characters would go into the background like Alice I think the survey that said people don't like the gangband (crybabies) affected his decision, anyway in the game there are 2 weeks left

Inoda needs to be pathetic for the story to work, because if he were someone good who deserved the girl, there wouldn't be any sense of deception. Also, by being pathetic, he gains sympathy points.
Asuna, on the other hand, is the typical story of a fallen angel, a good girl who eventually falls into corruption.
Kirito is the good guy who loses everything for being a good person and helping others. (insane)

That's why it's a parody, and whoever takes this game seriously is because they identify with Inoda, someone who is overweight, selfish, wants to have all the girls, live without worries, and outsmart the protagonist, who is a capable guy with a pretty girlfriend.

No, those who take the game seriously mean they want to understand it better. The only person who said they identify with Inoda is the author himself. I don't think anyone here likes Inoda, just what he does to Asuna. So if someone is wondering and having doubts, it doesn't mean they're an Inoda.

Your meaning might be different.

The next update will be smaller in scope; it is worth noting that the last three updates combined were equivalent in content to a single update from the game's launch.

I'd say the game peaked at the cabin then it has been going downhill since the mineral cave combat update.

Well, taking a game seriously and above all NTR is practically and, pardon the words, it is ridiculous, possibly they are people who are new to this area, it is true that there are NTR stories with a plot that seems like a movie but they can be counted on the fingers, the majority are simple, some good, others bad and others worse. The NTR ends when the cuck loses his partner or he likes to watch and other variants but there it ends, there are no rematches, there is no revenge unless the author writes or draws it, if you ask for revenge it is only to fulfill your selfish desires for justice. that's how it has always been, just enjoy the parody that it is.

9.22 Progress Report

Current Progress:
Scripts:70%
Events:80%
CG:60%
The characters that have appeared so far are basically all of them. The main story will gradually become more and more important.
Yui prefers Asuna; her perspective is derived from a combination of her own memories and Asuna’s memories, logically processed through her own reasoning. Her involvement with Inoda was planned from a very long time ago. From a story perspective, her character is indeed influenced by Inoda. In terms of dialogue, it has already been explained that the “childbearing ritual” grants the child the “expectations of the parents.”. Also, to clarify: in Invisible Trap, Yui was developed a very long time ago, even before SAO, by Kayaba 21 years earlier. She remained dormant ever since. So Yui’s age is actually 21.
Inoda does not qualify to openly compete with Kirito. After Asuna’s memory modification, her affection level toward Inoda has already surpassed the upper limit of ordinary friendship.
The dungeon will continue to play a role later. There will be body modification. Livestreams and AV are uncertain, but may appear. Various outfits will definitely be included. The main story of the game should be finished no later than the end of July, but there will be epilogue content afterward. Other NPCs in the game will not have much screen time.

The big takeaway from the progress report:
YUI IS LEGAL!
I was at work when this dropped, as expected, but glad to know Fujino was in good health.

Also, I don't see how this at all means that the other characters won't have more screentime, LOL? Fujino specifically said 'other NPCs', the other main characters most definitely do not qualify as that XD

On the biggest part of this, I feel kinda bad that Fujino had to be so extra-specific about Yui's situation, it means he probably was geting a lot of messages in Ci-En annoying him about Yui's attitude and her 'age', which means that a ton of people have no readding comprehension and just further hammers how so few seem to pay attention to the actual plot XP

And I find extra-hilarious he felt the beyond-unnecessary-need to add the BS that "Yui is 21" just to calm down the people probably having issues with how blatant she's that she's about to get fucked (Which probably means her first sex scene is either in the upcoming update or the one after that), just like how everyone else in this game is totally not in high school or both Sinon and Suguha barely out of middle school, LMAO. Fun fact, we all know Fujino doesn't know shit about SAO beyond surface level, but an actual quick Wiki search would tell you that, when SAO ended and he died, Kayaba Akihiko was...28 years old. So thanks Fujino for telling us that Kayaba not only made Yui somehow more than 10 years before he had the technology to even begin doing so, he did it when he was 7 years old too XD

NGL, the fact Fujino felt the need to extra-clarify all this stuff about Yui right before she gets lewded despite giving her an aged-up body honestly makes me wonder what kinda comments he was getting on Ci-En about her. Like, even putting aside all the characters in this game are fictional to begin with, Yui is DOUBLY so by being an AI who canonically doesn't even act her 'age' (She's technically just a bit over TWO years old if we cound the time since she was created and put online, but she has been stated to act like an 8-years-old when she was amnesiac before recovering her 'actual AI' memories' which make her act older than the whole cast when she gets in that mode, but then alternates randomly between both to keep her status as cute daughter mascot of KiriSuna XP).

Either way, Fujino seems to be doing well and the upcoming update underway, so we can at least be happy about that :)

Fujino updated the progress report saying the other NPCs means OG characters like the Priest not the SAO girls. Funny Fujino wanted to mention that.

The Yui is 21 must be partly at least so Patreon won't ban his account for loli content. Fujino really wants to protect himself before the controversial sex happens.
