The way i sse it, is about Fujino having too many cookies in the jar, someone has to give.
Let's do a dirty plot development scheme, the game was divided in 20 parts by Fujino so we have 18 to work with, the first and last are introducition and climax and they don't count for plot development in any script.
So far we had 11 parts done with 7 to go let's see what Fujino theoretically will have to do.

Asuna downfall script, IRL transition, IRL condom sex, IRL raw sex no creampie, IRL raw sex creampie, anal sex (FOG or IRL), Liz thresome, Kyoko thresome, Liz Kyoko foursome, Pregnancy (FOG Yui), Pregnancy IRL and ending.
Sub plots Liz development/ending, Kyoko development/ending, Suguha/Laefa development and ending, Sinon development and ending, Alice/Klein development/ending, Hebishima development/ending.
Main plot Council development/ending, Goddess/Admin development/ending.
Yui TBD but introduction, development and ending.
That's is all i can think of, if there's something missing fell free to pitch in.

Realistic there's too many thing's left to be done in only 7 updates, all that above will need script develppment and several some animation to make sense.
So i think he will start to cut where he can and Liz, Kyoko, Alice are in the chop block, they importance in the story is almost zero, so he will make Inoda fuck Liz soon and put her in the same bench as Kyoko and Alice.

Well I do not know... Fujino used to talk about 1.0, but nothing prevents him from continuing to make the game, 1.1, 1.2, and so on. As long as there is interest in the game and as long as Fujino has ideas, why not continue. Maybe he has ideas until the very end, who knows. And do not dump the final version from the scenes, perhaps the final update will be made in the form of a separate game.

And one more thing I want to say: I think anal sex will be earlier than vaginal sex, because anal sex is given a less sacred meaning. Some people believe that anal sex is not cheating at all.

Personally, I wouldn't mind him wrapping the story up, but that's just me because I'm not too invested in the main plot. Other people would probably be fine with this game going on for a few more years.

If Fujino doesn't have time to do everything he wants in 7 updates and ends the game with a lame ending, then there's nothing we can do except scream in the comments. It depends on what Fujino wants in the end. If he wants money and popularity, then there will be version 1.05, and 1.1, and then 1.6. Asuna's ears and nostrils will suffer as long as there are subscribers and Fujino has the desire to do something. We just have to eat what they give us and build theories on the forum.

Someone wrote above that when Fujino did SAO part 1, the number of subscribers increased by 2 times. And now there may be even more of them. So what do you think is more important for Fujino in the end: the promise to finish by version 1.0 or to eat delicious food and sleep sweetly in a nice apartment?

Fujino is not the first and not the last indie developer who has overloaded the game with characters and plot lines. We can only hope that Fujino will stand up and do everything right. We can only fill up the forum with theories, suddenly Fujino is sitting here looking for something interesting.

"Z" does the same thing as Enter so isn't holding "W" and "Z" enough?

I would suggest to not worry about this ending at v1.0 or whatever. It's Fujino's intended plan, but things can change and Fujino can also just start changing the naming scheme of each update by whatever number they want.

General signs indicate Fujino is going to run out of space and have to make a Part 3, but I don't think it's worth worrying too much about.

You're not wrong, maybe he's already flirting with this idea, he did split the game week in 2 this update 0.60 if the next instead 0.65 we got something like 0.62.5 because is only half week.
For us this would probably be okay but we are not his main audience idk how this would land with his fans at CIEN over there they complain about having to pay for a month without content like last august, true is just a few but man they make some noise over his page there.
Either way as long he don't get frustrated with that and go fuck it and don't cut too much in the plot, he does have my support.

Checking my folder of older updates the earlier updates were like v0.32, v0.36, or v0.42. But yeah basically the version number doesn't really mean anything.

A short part of the story has you play as Klein; I think you get the option of 'go straight to Alice' or 'wait and do some chores'. If you wait, the other guy fucks her first. But I think it all ends up in the same 'Klein enjoys cuck' plot.

Quite a long time ago, Kawahara Reki gave an interview in which he said that he had plans after the first Aincrad arch to push Asuna into the background. She flew out of Japan after the traumatic events inside the game. He wanted to make Suguha his main romantic interest. During the ALFheim arc, Kirito and Suguha learned that they were not related and there were no obstacles to a relationship. And Suguha helped Kirito cope with his breakup with Asuna. But then the SAO fan base (which apparently consisted of radical fans of Asuna) got upset and Kawahara Reki decided not to remove Asuna and slightly changed the plot. After that, there was an Easter egg: Suguha is the only one whom Yui accepts on an equal footing with Asuna.

Perhaps Fujino is a fan of the old ways and is taking revenge for those events.

I'm sorry, I don't want to believe it. The author once said in an interview that he was a fan of Kirito and Asuna's relationship in WN and LN writing. Please provide a source about this interview

Well that's explain a lot why i always find Asuna a boring/bland by the numbers type of character, if the author wanted to put her in the bench back in the day he maybe thought he could do something better. But otakus and their wayfus.
SAO is just a OK series i never understood why all this hype around it, the characters are weak, the plot would work a lot better as a adventure/action around Kirito, but became this boring teen romance that never gets anywhere, and for some reason it's the most important thing for everyone in the story.

I see you don't read LN, there is a detailed description of the development of the plot, characters, the development of the relationship between Asuna and Kirito. SAO is about blurring the boundaries of reality to a VR game, it tells about the life of the characters. Asuna is not boring, bland, she is just well written, the same as the rest of the characters. Asuna comes from a wealthy Yuuki family, she has strict parents who control her life. Asuna is obedient especially to her mother, for example if she hadn't talked to Yuuki Konno she would have given up and not fought to stay in school and have Kirito's boyfriend, she would have gone to another school and had another boyfriend. Thanks to Kirito, Asuna changed her life, it was in the Mother's Rosario arc that she defended her mother about the SAO school and Kirito, which her mother finally reconciled and accepted her boyfriend. Asuna is Kirito's life, Kirito is also important to Asuna, they love each other, support each other, etc. If Kirito was killed, Asuna would commit suicide, Kirito would do the same. Arc Mother's Rosiaro very well written plot, e.g. thanks to the Medicuid technology (I forgot the name) it supported the life of Yuuki Konno, who was sick with AIDS, the virus. All characters are well written. The romantic plot is in the background, Kirito and Asuna show a mature relationship.
I know because I read the LN, I try to understand what the plot conveys and what the characters say in the anime and the LN.
