Mostly the first boss was super tough but also the flies and spiders can be overwhelming especially if you end up wasting ammo like i did cause trying to aim is kinda shit.

Flies I end up ignoring since you can duck under them and just run away.
Spiders are the most balanced enemy I feel since you can just use a gun to blast one or two but....yeah you'll run out of ammo if you try to get through that entire area with them. (Especially if you haven't ammo goblin'ed to that point) Best way as a result to deal with them is retreating melee with no sprinting and no webs/slowdown behind you, as melee takes I think 5 hits to kill. An faster way is to use one bullet to start the combat as that means I think only 3 hits are needed I think.

also i dont care if they're harder so long as they're good

Oh yeah that test version was meant to be released possibly this month....maybe March will provide it? (Presuming that animation wasn't holding things up)

He posted that the trial version was like 65% complete so i don't think it will be ready for this month, but probably sure to be done for the next one!!
