I noticed that when Priya is asking you to help her, the relationship points are actually going to Gia. Not sure if it matters or not yet.
Actually looking at it closer, it seems the relationship variables are set as persistent, which means if you start a new game or load an early save, their values carry over to the new game. That's GOT to be a coding no-no!!

The points were simply remnants of an earlier system I tried in the initial stages of the development of the VN. Only your choices matter in the VN.
As for the usage of persistent variables, I tested the scenarios you mentioned and could not find any problems. Please let me know if there is a particular issue that you have encountered and I will do my best to fix it.
