Following the walkthrough, I have attempted three times with different prior saves. Each time, I reach the part where you go to the church to give the lady a weapon, is a boomerang. She asks demonstrate how to use it, but as soon as the fight begins, game freezes.

Having suddenly strange issues with the game. Yesterday it worked fine, but today, when I start it, it takes ages, then when it appears, it gives me a white loading circle. Once finally the main screen loads, I press continue and again the circle then it loads the map, but black at first only sound. Then it takes a bit and the game works, albeit every location change creates the white loading circle and takes time. WTF???

Sounds like video card. Try updating the drivers. If it's not video then check your RAM. Both of these can cause issues like that.

It was the driver. I have nvidia and since they changed to the app version, it doesn't inform me if there is an update. I updated and now it works. What I do find strange is, that it worked the day before perfectly, why would it suddenly need an update to work normally?

Could have been either a Microsoft update or some other update that caused an incompatibility.

Because there are too many scenes with jerking off and sucking. From update to update. People need a middle ground, where there is both sex and jerking off, but instead they get a cycle with minimal scenes.

Yes, but the NLT team will be releasing a podcast soon with some behind-the-scenes details of the game's production. If I understand correctly, NLT will be covering the production of a story scene that will be released in the early July update.
This process is more complex than creating teasers (to say the least) and takes more resources and time from the NLT team. Can't wait!

it feels like it.

On X the last post was on june 29th with 3.5k views and 157 likes.
There is a podcast announced for July 2nd called "The Love Potion" with the creator.

But regardless. If you follow this forum and posts on X people are not excited about this game at all compared to the older versions. The updates dont really bring anything to look forward to except that people want scenes with Julia. Other than that wincest is something people are asking for but cant get. Even on X he keeps posting about the older parts.

Somehow this turned into exactly what most expected from this part. No one asked for it, no one wanted it, and the slow rolling of the completion of the game has followers trapped in waiting for it to finish so that maybe the next game offers fetishes people are asking for and a new story altogether.

What got me into the game was more the premise of stopping a war between Heaven and Hell than the sex to be honest. Also from what I've seen I cant say I'm a fan of the combat system. In the previous games whenever there was fighting it was done either via cutscene like in ToN or puzzle like in TGO which I vastly preferred.

The first serious scene with Janet people saw was towards the end of the game. Heather didn't do it right away either. In both cases we got what we wanted.
Some people dream of big Margaret pillows, some want Anya, or Cleopatra, or Olivia. There are many girls in the game, so everyone can find the one they like.

Agree to disagree. I think this is possibly NLT's 2nd best, for me it is tied with TGO for 2nd place. TON is solidly in 1st place and LE is a VERY distant 4th place. I don't even count the games that came before LE.

Also, I am a penniless freeloader who isn't forced to like SOTS. I didn't spend any money on it yet I think it is a fantastic game. Therefore I reject the assertion that it is just "plain obvious" that it is inferior to the games that preceded it.

I care about the opinions of everyone on this site, including yours. And although I strongly disagree with you and am certainly neither lying about this game nor glazing it as you say, you are still entitled to think the game is terrible.
