For me most of the time, at least previously. it would not load. I would get an error message. That is why I thought I had all of the updates. I was expecting to get an error message when I first started the game if I was missing an update.

Okay so just to clarify I will need to play every update so that my save won't be kind of corrupted? I'm aware the version number signifies the amount of percentage to completion so planning to play again when it reaches 80 percent or so. Last version I was played was v0.39

If you are waiting for 80% mark. You'll be better off just downloading the full version instead of doing each and every update one by one.
No, you don't have to play every update. But you have to install every update in the correct order.
And if you don't intend to play every update as it comes out, you are better off just downloading the full game when you want to play.

Just a quick question. Is this a new episode of the Lust Epidemic, ToN, and TGO saga, or another saga?
I'm never going to understand why NLT made all these side girls nobody gives a shit about. 1 KS page a month and only 1 has actual vaginal sex at the 50% mark while girls we don't even care about get so many sex scenes is a disgrace.

Some people want to beat their meat while "playing" the game, without much effort.
Additionally, the side girls aren't even fleshed out yet. They're going to get voice acted lines, may have their own quests here and there...lots to go based on what NLT has said in interviews and what I've seen said by the "team" on Discord.
Also, who cares, it's not like you're paying to support the games development.
If I was a Patron sending NLT a bunch of money each month and didn't like the direction he was taking, I'd comment directly on his feed and probably drop my support.
