So, I missed the hiden wires when i got into Lab B with the fake rat and cant get back in. Am I just fucked now?

You can use save edits, as long as you don't go crazy. Don't go giving yourself 99 in all the stats, or like 250,000,000 cash. Keep your edits to reasonable levels. Like 15-20 of consumable items, like weapons and gifts. I try to avoid ever editing quest items, you never know if it will ever be used again, then it just hangs in your inventory forever.

Why are you so worried about a item being in your inventory forever? I've been doing that for all NLT games and nothing has happened. What breaks a game is doing things before the oracle tells you to or change Ethan's stats like STR, CHR and INT.

Pretty sure even Olympic runners don’t run as much as the MC does just to move the plot forward...

I mean do want a few days of the MC just wondering around having a coffee and doing shopping?
I am having the same problem that a lot of people seem to be having. I cannot control the MC to get the wires when you trick the guard with the fake rat. It is a cut scene and you just follow the girl to the PC. If you select continue, you don't get the wires. So I selected exit and you don't get the wires. Is this a glitch in the update? Now I can't get past the guard so I can't fix the headset.

The guard changes his gaze. You have to wait until he looks away and then go through the door.
I tried that too. Where do you stand to get his gaze to change? If I go to the right he looks that way. If I go to the left he looks that way. He changes his direction to follow me.

yes you can change name of the save file :
google, save editor online, upload your save file, go at the bottom "File Unpack", left click anywhere in the box and press ctrl + F then search Ethan, you will see "_name": "Ethan", change that to whatever you want then Download it at the bottom.
notes :
Inventory are your items/gifts (don't go over 999 might bug)
Variable#2 is your gold (9 999 999 is enough)
Variable#8, Variable#9 and Variable#17 are strength, intel, charisma (700 is enough + you will get more in-game)

Just curious about one thing. Why all that trouble, when you can change the MC name in game (Longdong Emporium, Misc section, bottom right)?

Also got the Wires bug. Didn't get them before the fake rat scene, and now can't get in lab B. Edited the save to get the wires, and now the Oracle is stuck on the "get wires from the lab" thing. Gonna have to revert to a former save, but this seems like a bug in the game.
It depends on what platform you are using (win,mac,android) Just do a search for save location, it will be posted many times. As for editing I use an online editor:
