It is because this would obviously require not only the MC to have lost his memories, but also his entire family of four to have lost theirs as well. On top of that, the church, including all members and entire town where they grew up would have lost their memories too. Otherwise people would a) know about their missing son and b) talk about his return and as well adress him differently since they've been knowing him for a long time.

This is far from not complicated, that would be absolute nonsensical.

On top of that, the milf isn't acting like a mother towards the MC at all. More like a woman that's up for an affair because she doesn't feel desired by her husband anymore. There aren't even little hints like in ToN ("I took care of you since you were a baby") that tell an incest story with a wink.

No, because he doesn't even have his own room with personal belongings. So obviously they don't have to tell him where to sleep because he can't remember his room, but because he's simply a guest who stays in the guest room.

If you live in a small christian town where people are going to church every single week, people will definitely know each other. A once lost and now returned son would be a big talk in the entire community. People from the church, including the "staff", who'd been seeing him and his family together every week for decades would definitely know about him and adress his return.

You clearly didn't read the post I was replying to.

It was about the claim that "the game feels like it should be incest". Aka games that are clearly incest but slightly differently phrased for Patreon's guidlines. They usually give clear indications of family relations without stating it explictly.

This isn't the case here. While, and I repeat myself for the third time, ToN had enough references that made the player know that it was perhaps his family (mother + sister) without stating it explictly, all these hints are missing here. NLT did not implement such phrasings.

"he didn't touch me for so long" has absolutely 0 implication that he's part of the family. As mentioned before, this is just a desparate houswife that wants to be desired. Implication of a woman being the mother is when the milf - in ToN - said, that she raised the MC since he was a baby. Or references between the MC and her daughter (implying her being his sister), like when they played together and slept in the same bed when they were children and MC "always protected her". All of this is absent in SotS.

So to answer the OG question once more and bring my post back in line: No, Symphony of the Serpent doesn't present itself like a game that's supposed to be incest.

Can you try really hard and flip "he" for "your father"? Yes. Would it make sense in terms of how the dialogues are written, in regard to the story and how people behave towards each other? Absolutely not.

Will there be incest in this game? It looks like it should have it in the game.

It'll be a large under taking as there are a ton of voiced scenes. Those voiced lines will break any of the immersion.

People need to accept NLT has clearly moved away from the fetish and anyone who wants it needs to move onto a different creator.

Also with the new changes coming to steam. I can see steam going down the line of patreon. We are likely to see less and less of that fetish in the future.

Animations start early and if you like them, they will keep you entertained for the duration of gameplay.
