Yeh that would be the next step, but he/she/it needs to first find out what he is missing.Else the only thing you can use the walkthrough for, is replaying the whole game...

Check your graphics card settings.
If you have HDR activated, make sure you turn it off.
Go to System > Display > HDR and select 'Off' under 'Use HDR'.

Hmm, while I needed to turn off HDR (in the monitor, not the graphics card, by the way) in previous NLT games, that's not the case for SotS. Besides, the problem with HDR was blow out brightness, not a black screen like this user is experiencing.
videos suck !!
at least that's what I always say + there is an official channel for video walkthrough sanctioned by NLT themselves

There seems to be a bug with the new meditate side quest.
I'm at the exact position of the walktrough (Vieo and Pdf form) to meditate behind the pillar, nothing happens on opening the menu.
I tried it behind the other pillars and next to them, no change.
I have the note with me and am on the newest version of the game.
Restart also did not help.

thx fixed it already, the problem was that nvidia app overlay bugged it out, i disabled nvidia overlay and it worked like a charm^^
It's a common misconception that one needs to open the menu. You don't.
But what you need to do to meditate is face the correct direction at the exact meditation location and let it idle for a few seconds.
And it's really hard to tell, but you might be standing a step too far from the pillar.
