i think explicit that point before meeting the entity will go a long way to clarify the matter. the point feels murky to me.

And that's fine. For the time being, my focus is fully on SotV Part 2 and it's unlikely I will make any changes to Part 1.

There's also another reason why I didn't put any internal monologue/thoughts for Jevan in that interaction. He doesn't really know what the Entity is capable of, even in his/its diminished state, and taking into account that his powers revolve around mind manipulation... In short, Jevan was wary of the Entity being able to read his thoughts or intentions.

Okay, that's just silly. If Jevan completely emptied his head of any thoughts, and the Entity was able to see that, he'd just be like, "Hey, asshole! Are you even listening to me?"
