Content:
* New Character: **Mary-Lou** the Cow Girl
* 3 New scenes for **Riley**
* 2 New Scenes for Helena, and you can now visit her house
* 22 New morning microscenes across the whole cast (don't appear in gallery!)
* Added 5 new jiggies. 1 was added to the pocketmanz card collection rewards, 4 were added as random obtainables.
Other changes:
* New character models and expressions for Cayenne and Riley
* New preferences menu added in the settings, currently allows you to toggle vegetarian/carnivore modes, and separates carnivore mode so people who don't like femboys can still have dickgirls
* Added selectors for the system character genders to the new preferences menu
* Music and sound now use volume sliders instead of buttons
Fixes:
* Changed the app logo to ST instead of the old SV
* Fixed Helena's logbook checking the wrong character
Known issues:
* Toggling feral content in the preferences currently does nothing, since it's meant to work with the new cards I haven't implemented yet.
* Some content (like the foxes) is still reliant on carnivore/vegetarian mode, instead of the more specfic fetish toggles in the preferences menu. I'll need to rewrite the scenes which use those checks for v6.
This update ended up being way more veggie-heavy than expected due to Mary-Lou. Because adding the pregnancy-focused character without any pregnancy content would have been very silly, I completed not only her intro but all the way to being invited to her house. Since some peeps can't access subscribestar I'll copy the info here:
Upcoming content:
* Bluebell needs a new model the most of the remaining old model cast, so she'll probably be one of the main characters of v6.
* The new cards and card system need more work, so I reverted back to the old Pocketmanz cards. All the new palcards are in the game files in the neocards folder in the images.
* I want to have future Helena scenes take place on a second tour of the town, but that's a fair bit of work to actually fill out what you'll do when touring around with her. So she's got a few scenes waiting for me to implement them.
* I worked up a prototype of the digging minigame from pokemon gen 4 and have been brainstorming exactly what to have you find in them:
* Aranom from the discord was playing with Wan2.1, an image-to-video model some Syrup Town scenes a shot. They posted their workflow so if I can get it working myself maybe animating the game is in the cards? Especially since Wan2.2 just released, here's two of the shots they posted:

* I made it for myself to avoid all the lag on mobile when trying to use Stable Diffusion over a network, so I made my own UI to bypass needing to use Gradio. I plan to re-tool it later as a prompt writer as well, allowing for shortcuts and saving character tag lists. The two main advantages are:
- You can just write "midna" instead of "midna, legend of zelda, shortstack, wide hips, thick thighs, helmet, one eye obscured, orange hair, ponytail, yellow sclera, red eyes, black body, white body, multicolor body, neon trim, fangs"
- If you add a tag that culls aspects, like "facing away", it will remove things not visible from behind, like the sclera, eye, and face tags.
Here's how the UI currently looks as I'm using it:
* Each time I want to add Cayenne content, I have to come up with something for them to build. One of those is a TV (short for tellyvision) with microscenes of shows airing in syrup town. One of these is where two of the new jiggies is from:
Feel free to suggest any other stuff to make these micro-scenes from.
And all this in addition to all the other things on my to-do list I've posted with other updates, hoo boy! Lots to do, lots to do! I don't have a lot of experience writing pregnancy, so please feel free to give suggestions for Mary-Lou scenes.
Riley's new content is a pretty good example of how characters will get new content, a short sidequest full of nonlinear scenes. And finally, I wanted to put the new morning scenes into the gallery but given they're very short, only appear randomly, and I may make the hot morning ones only appear in the summer and do seasonal stuff, I kept them out of it. If you'd prefer I do something different with them, lemme know!
There aren't a lot of harem-esque games like this that cater to people who want FeMC on Femme action, especially not one that caters to both the "carnivorous" and "vegetarian" persuasions. It's definitely one of the features I'm most looking forward to seeing down the line.
I hope you'll enjoy it. Making the new paperdoll character models is taking way longer than expected, small errors really stand out and making everything line up means that the fleshy version may have to be delayed until everyone has a new model.
If I could only work out a good system for handling the femc pussy route, I could start on that without too much issue. I could take the easy route and just make a second characters folder, that'd prevent players from getting to content that isn't finished yet. Hrm...
The direction I ultimately took for Helena's new scene took a really long time to decide on, as the MC is essentially trying to train Helena to become more dominant, though currently Helena's still so much of a quickshot she's essentially just a sub-top. I think the pussy route would probably have a lot of that same vibe, at least at first while the townsfolk adjust to the heat.
Huh, good to know for the future. Is that why Bitch Medicenter kind of got put on the back-burner? Just wasn't as meaty and interesting of a game to make?
It was more that the code was jank and terrible due to inexperience and being self-taught. But also that Medicenter was mainly an exercise in making me lean more on my writing, since university is very image-driven. I'd like to make gameplay-driven games, but I also want to release as consistently as I can. Making mechanics is hard >.<
I mean... that's probably fine? In the same vein as how there's no Hoothoot or Noctowl cards, you can probably just cherry-pick, skipping Birddramon and the other ones you're not interested in/don't have the data for, yeah? Particularly given that the Baby and Child/Rookie stages are very child-coded. Was mostly just planting the seed in case you ever felt like throwing any in there. Or any other mons from other franchises that catch your fancy, now that things are not restricted to only Pok*m*ns.
No hoothoot or noctowl... That I've posted
They look terrible and jank due to their body shape, but I think it's a fun challenge to try and lewd an entire dex.
The main issue with diggymanz really is that I only actually know series 1 and tamers, and most of those are low-SEEEEEX energy. At least for me, who doesn't really see greymon or angemon as attractive. Thus my list of SEEEEEX diggymans is probably just:
Gatomon
Angewomon
Lady Devimon
Lilymon
Renamon
That pink mega evo of gomamon that looked like a sea angel
... I'm already starting to run dry, I'm very out of the loop on diggymanz. I can try to do specific requests but despite a childhood playing digimon world dusk, the first 5 series, and digimon world 3, it seems I've retained basically nothing.
I want to leave my opinion on the card thing, but these back-and-forths with super long messages are too long for my tired brain to digest to know what's been discussed already, and what's actually being asked...
So I'm just gonna try off what I know:
I am a massive TCG collector, and notably less massive of a TCG player. I'd totally be down for the idea of packs and combining cards to make rarer variants, be they fullarts of some sort, or just shinier. My only concern is that you'll have to balance the amount of cards with the amount of actual gameplay present in the game. I don't want to finish all the content, and then have to fish and catch bugs repetitively for money to buy packs. But, I also don't want it to be so restricted I'm done with it way before everything else (although this is much more preferable than the former). I know I could use a cheatcode, but I also don't want to have to do that. If there's some sort of minigame with bug-catching, fishing, and/or something else to get money/cards via a minigame, I'd be more willing to do that, and there'd be a lot more wiggle room to get that "number of cards to other content" ratio in a good place.
In terms of the art and card variety (aka, the actual question being asked), my vote for Q1 is on option 2 if I had to choose, but I think a combination between 1 and 2 would be best. Something along the lines of "stacks" of cards would make the most sense to me, with a main inv screen with a "stack" for each 'mon, and you can click into that to look at all the cards from that character, probably sorted based on tags (anthro vs feral, meat vs veggie) and then rarity. Or perhaps a filterable inventory system, but that might be way too much work. Whatever you do, though, I vote absolutely no on #3. That would restrict you a lot, and would cut out people who like futa but not pure meat, assuming you only separate between meat/no meat. And assuming you do go with lots of cards and non-art-related rarities, you'll need some sort of separation regardless, so just #1 isn't going to work well.
I think a good way for allowing the player to collect or not collect whatever cards they like, given how gray the femininity/futa-nimity of ferals are, would be to start with a option to pick between humanoid-anthro male, female, and futa, since the lines are clearer there, and an option between meaty/non-meaty ferals, so you don't need to class some as futa arbitrarily. For me at least, that would be enough. I'm fine with the typical feminine anthro males you usually have, and I'd probably turn off the male ferals, since that's a bit much for me. So, separating the meat/no-meat by feral vs anthro would solve all my problems.
But, a small problem may still stand with the anthros. Like, one example I saw was Flambelle and Gloopie. Flambelle was classed as meat while Gloopie is futa, despite both being anthros with cocks and no explicit female characteristics (boobs or puss). Same sort of thing goes for, for example, the Katress and Nyafia you showed as example. Now, I don't know exactly what range of femininity you plan to have in your anthro cards, but if they're all going to be pretty femininely proportioned, a definitive rule of "If it has boobs/pussy, it's futa, if not, it's male", would be fine. If there are going to be more masculine males, then I would suggest a "femboy" category, or something like that (maybe call it "impossible meat" or "tofu" if you wanted to stay on theme), for meat-havers that could be classed as futa if not for the lack of explicit characteristics, and put any definitively masculine anthros in the purely male category. Although, this could entirely be moot if all the males are feminine like your usual fare.
This is assuming there aren't any ferals that can be definitively classed as futa specifically (like ones that have boobs), rather than "a mon that happens to have a feminine design but has a dick so could just be classed as Meat". Mostly just because I assume the model you're using doesn't really generate ferals with boobs or dick+pussy. if so, you might need a specific category just for them.
And I had one more wack idea, a nuclear option, if you will: Card-by-card disabling. You see a card you don't like, and you disable it. You get a new random card of comparable rarity (or something like that), and that card is permanently disabled, and is no longer needed for completion stats. Just a suggestion, I don't think it'd be necessary.
In regards to card amount, I say more is better. I think combining dupes into rarer cards is a good idea, but I'm a bit confused about how you're handling it. I see two ways of doing it: any Normal cards of a mon fuse into random Rare cards of the mon, which could include full arts and possible foils. In that case, keep a "dupes" tally for each mon, I see no gameplay benefit to forcing you to specifically use copies of the same card when combining. Second way would be: Each individual card would have rarer version(s) that you can fuse identical copies up into. In that case, each card gets a tally. Either way, I don't see any issue with cross-set compatibility (in case of the male-female split). So... yeah. Cards good! More cards better! And I like shiny things! I'm quite tired at the moment.
Let me know if I forgot anything, I wouldn't be surprised.
You raise a lot of good points, and while I have to do PR stuff so I can't respond to each point individually, your post is what did encourage me to experiment and test out things like digging.
Buying packs from the shop in yu-gi-oh games is more fun because the playing the game to get those packs is also fun. Alternatively, I could make packs time-gated somehow like PTCGP, but I don't think that's a good fit for Syrup Town. I ended up reverting to the pocketmanz cards temporarily while I get the rest of the palcards working, it'd be nice if I could make obtaining them -and- opening them fun, as compared to grinding bugs and fish.
My main goal is to identify what the players are doing, and then fill that "doing" with rewards, like gathering events and porn as much as possible. I worried that people would say "I want all the cards!" and the grind for them immediately, so I'd like to add more gathering events for v6, as well as experimenting with minigames.
Yeah categorizing anthro vs feral and male vs futa is quite the brain-straining task. Veggie vs carnivore, that's easy. I kinda just vibe checked them, so longer eyelashes, breasts, anything female coded was used for futa, but at the end of the day some ended up feeling like coinflips. I should just come up with hard rules and forget worrying about the details.
I auto-generated the filenames based on the image's tags, and while I went back and checked the tags again afterwards I probably missed a lot of them, which only adds to the inconsistencies. Eevee is generated via the feral tag, sure, makes sense, but so is Pikachu, who is bipedal. That's where things get complicated.
You got it right that any normal cards of a mon fuse into random rare cards of the mon, with the rare cards being shiny foils or vertical portrait cards (I'll probably go for vertical being rare).
I'm quite tired too so hopefully I didn't miss anything either haha, locking in on v5 has me quite knackered. I like to think I made the right call prioritizing scenes over cards, at least for now.
Yep, but nothing happens. She says this but nothing changes.
And when i click on her in this state, it just goes to this screen, with the scenes i already have.
Off the top of my head I think you are missing the wallbutt scene (appears when talking to Cayenne after getting enough of their content), that's actually 2 scenes in 1. I actually added a system for multi-part scenes in this update.
