Lol at intellectual. More popular a thing is the more likely these debates happen. This games one of the most followed on the site and hits the checkbox for multiple controversial/hot button topics. So basically this happens a few times a month
They moved to SubscribeStar (During the whole Patreon banning tomfoolery), and theyre still developing the game, but at the same time, working on the Steam release.
Yo everyone. I am stuck at the book search screen, in the library, S5 - Gerda/Blonde simp guy shit. Can't seem to combo 5 books, only first 2 appear as correctly marked.
Did I miss something or is it really just bugged out?

Playing through and getting this bug with the map button, sometimes it is clickable and sometimes it is not. If I save and exit and try to load from that spot the bug sticks. Is there a fix for this?

If the map is gray - it usually means fast travel is locked out because the character has to finish a quest/task that requires them to stay in the vicinity. Finish the task started by using traditional entryways/exits, if necessary to change places.
It's a classic and long-standing mechanism that has been used in video games/VNs since the advent of the fast travel map in games.
Also, players should not use the map for fast travel from inside buildings - should always go out the front door of the home, of the school (don't fast travel from the track or smoking area), etc. There are several events that are triggered by the MC entering/exiting entrances. If players use fast travel from inside buildings, they will miss them because the game is not coded to automatically trigger if the MC changes location by fast travel, like some games/VNs are.

When you have a gameplay question, search the thread first (see my signature on how to set up search results in F95). 95% of the questions asked have been answered at least once. Make sure to use the exact text of the task, if it is a gameplay question - or at least a few common sense keywords.
If that fails, you can search for a youtube playthrough using the exact wording of the task you are working on. example: use Google to search for taffy tales "I need to find that book"
Doing that would have given you your answer in minutes, rather than hours (or even days, if at all). Very few people actually answer gameplay questions in this thread. It's me and maybe a couple of others with good answers.
Also, you do know you can skip minigames with the cheat code, right?
If all else fails, ask your question in the thread by including a screenshot with the task list open to show the task you are working on.
Perhaps one day you be alpha.

I wonder how likely it is that the game will be released on SS? Just got me thinking - there's nothing stopping a game from being released on SS, and then leading the process of adding that game to Steam. Well, except for the marketing nuances. But judging by that, there's nothing stopping Uber from paying 100 USD already. I'm not sure if any user shows up as a developer after payment, but as Count Morado wrote, I couldn't find either UberPie or Taffy Tales on steamdb. I found some old version of Taffy Tales on steamgriddb, it's from 2021 and there's only a couple of assets taken from Uber's Patreon. So actually, it got me thinking - is there anything stopping from releasing a game on SS for existing fans and then releasing it on Steam and attracting an audience thanks to algorithms? Or will everyone wait for Uber to finish the final build, test it, pay a fee to Steam, create a game page and in a month after paid we'll finally see the game, if it's approved of course?

Yes, I remember in one of the posts (thanks Vanheller) Uber wrote that they were considering this option. I have mixed thoughts here: there are a lot of both pros and cons to the option that on SS the Season 1 rework would be released earlier on Steam given the key distribution. There seems to be no point in delaying and making those who are already subscribed to SS and following the game wait for it, so as not to release the game when it is ready and wait for all the red tape with Steam, and there seems to be no point in releasing the game, because then there will be keys for SS subscribers, and this, as I think, is a certain cost for the developer, although in this case the rates in Steam will be higher, which will probably somehow affect the algorithms. In general, mixed thoughts, there are pros and cons and, probably, there is no point in guessing - we can only wait.
