No, the netorare (ntr) route was planned from day one and is one of the three routes that had been planned for the game. It's a genre that Uberpie likes. The third route is a "sharing" route - most likely with Peter (with his Pennyworth personality, a rival of Red's and Wilfred's (Peter's femboy personality)) teaming up with Darnell.
Every time it was intended to be developed, there was a small, but vocal group of netorare-haters who would cajole and howl in the discord and threads here, and Uberpie backed off. Even when Uberpie intentionally or fucked up with netorare content coming up in versions, they bawled their heads off that they were being duped. That is, until v0.95.7, when Uberpie brought on a second writer specifically for the netorare route. While working on that version's content, Uberpie said both routes - main and netorare - would be developed and released "as SEPARATE updates simultaneously. The NTR route will be a separate game/route that you download to play independent of the main route." (

v0.95.7 with the netorare route involved was the most successful bump in the number of patreons and $$$ - both in percentage and hard count - of any of Uberpie's releases. However, nothing happened with the netorare route for v1.07.3... and then Uberpie got kicked off Patreon and came up with doing the Season 1 Redux.
