Darnell isn't the big bad guy of the game. He takes his cues and orders from others. Roger is a bigger bad guy. Walter is a bigger bad guy.

Back before the revamp, I know that Darnell was set up in he big bad guy role... But since v0.82.4/v0.85.1 nearly 3 years ago, meh.

Anyway, I never had the visceral reaction to Darnell that some players have had.

That's what the third route is/was planned to be from the start.

I know he's not the big bad but naturally acts like it for a portion of the game.

I just wanna see the MC grow a pair again and for the story to start to get things back on track properly.

Won't happen since it's been rebooted and the game will take ages to get back to where it was but would be nice.

• Are you willing to play v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" knowing that 20-30% of what you are playing is what you just finished playing?

How you answer those two questions would give you the answer to your question.

imo original is better in every single way besides menu navigation and ui and there's so much content also theres no ai art besides in season 5 iirc.
highly recommend it, it's gonna be years upon years before he adds the rest of the seasons and the art is gonna be filtered through some ai.

There is no "normal" download. That said, see:

Great question. It all depends upon what you want to do.

Do you want to play a version with a lot of content? Go play v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" and then v1.07.3 "Season 5"
If you strictly want a netorare playthrough, play the short completely optional and separate netorare route in v1.07.3 "Season 5"
Do you want to see 4k images and video with some additional content added of the first 20-30% of the game? Play Season 1 Redux.

Not in the way it sounds like you are implying, no. But it does follow the rules for the tag.
There are 14 video files in the Season 1 Redux, plus the ending credits. The 14 are all short loops like the following:

Season 1 Redux may not be compatible with certain Android versions (we haven't had reports, yet).

Season 1 Redux -- which is the last released?
v1.07.3 "Season 5" -- which is the last in the game play?

Specificity is ideal when seeking help.

All that said - If it is Season 1 Redux and you have an Android 14 device you are trying to run it on, and it's not installing -- the problem is most likely user-side. The game was made with a version of Unity which should work on Android 14. I would recommend deleting the download and trying again.

If your device is Android 15, Season 1 Redux may or may not be compatible because Android 15 came after the Unity version Uberpie used.
