probably using the inbuilt unity ragdoll physic to the breast, butt and dick
They like added that back around v0.47.5... that was the HUGE hook for a release. So dunno what "physics" he's talking about beyond that. But we'll see.
how long do you guys think season 2 will be out?
No earlier than Halloween. Probably 2026.

He hasn't done 2-3 months since before 2020. That's a pipe dream. And, honestly, for ANY developer (with a few exceptions) you should never expect a substantial update in 2-3 months. Maybe 15-30 minutes of play time, but that's the best you should hope for.

Substantial updates should and normally do take at least 4 months, if not 6 or more. And after the first couple of versions (past v0.4 of just about any game) that is usually the going time frame - 4-6+ months for a meaningful update.

For Uberpie, the average is over 6 months, with closer to 8+ in the last several years. ESPECIALLY with this idea to add some new element into the game. Last time he added an element to the game (small chat "sandbox" element), the release date went from Feb 2022 to April 2022 and then needed another release a month later with major bug fixes.

Also he has to cut the content up for Season 2 and then put all the current art through the AI to make it gel with Season 1 art. He lost his head writer, so either someone else will need hired or the current team will need to add that work of revision, additions, etc to the script.

Look at history and then temper your expectations:
Season 1 Redux (v1.0.0) 01 Feb 2025 (12 months)
v1.07.3a 29 Jan 2024 (7 months)
v0.95.7a 01 Jul 2023 (8 months, 3 weeks)
v0.89.8a 11 Oct 2022 (4.5 months)
v0.85.1a 28 May 2022 *major bugfix (1 month)
v0.82.4a 22 Apr 2022 (7 months, 9 days)
v0.68.2a 13 Sep 2021 (6 months)
v0.47.5a 09 Mar 2021 (7 months)
v0.22.0a 01 Aug 2020 (4 months)
v0.17.0a 04 Apr 2020 (4 months)
Christmas Special 25 Dec 2019
v0.14.3a 30 Nov 2019 (4 months)
Halloween Special 31 Oct 2019
v0.11.2a 01 Jul 2019 (2 months)

You're right, I hope the "80% CG Done for season 2 and 3" isn't bullshit

Where did you read that? It wasn't in the announcement shared today.

Also, yeah, it would be most likely bullshit because Season 1 had 20-30% new scenes. If 80% of the cg were done for season 2... That would mean only new content was left. And Uberpie's history is not about front loading work... It's always a mad dash at the end, like a college underclassman during finals week.

The only person I trust to tell the truth about the status of development is no longer on the team. History has shown that with everyone else on the dev team, it's best to take what is said with a grain of salt.

Where the hell did you even get this crap about 80% of the CG being done? He was obviously talking about the CG scenes for the first season. The characters and backgrounds are the same across all seasons - unless, of course, he decides to redo them. Or did I misunderstand you?

Yet another pile of nonsense out of nowhere, pure speculation for no reason. "Uber is lyiiiing, Uber is baaaad - where’s the actual news? Guys? Guys! Is there any news?! Drop the screen! "

What interests me more is what they mean by "physics." Did they actually add some kind of 3D elements? I really hope not.

Meh, physic is just an excuse for another year of development time

So they are just remaking the whole game ...
Yes, as stated nearly a year ago. They are making retail versions for each "Season." Originally for Steam, but that fell through. Now on itch.io
Then when they get those all done for retail... Who knows what comes next .

People bitch when developers don't finish shit.

Did the S1 Redux update graphics without updating text? I downloaded the completed gallery to see what I'd be in for with this and noticed that the images/animations at least in the gloryhole scene (first thing I clicked) didn't match up at all with what the text said which was disappointing to say the least. The art/animation was nice, but it just feels weird af to have animations/art that don't match the text they're paired with.

They're probably talking about this post right here: Thx Vanheller
But this post says it explicitly:
But right now, I’m focusing on the 80% of non-CG work. And here’s where I was going with this: this is the part of the content that won’t change much in future seasons (we’re currently planning 3 seasons, with the first being the most vanilla). In other words, we’ve already done 70-80% of the artist’s work for the next two seasons.

I also noticed that the scene with Becca in her room was cut. Uber just didn't add the cunnilingus part. I don't know why, but it's still in the text. It's actually weird, I just replied to BlaBlaCat and attached a post that suggests CG artwork is about 20 percent of an artist's work for a season. Plus Uber realizes that a lot of people come purely for them. But he just fucked up of at least the character faces.... Something I don't get - if it's at the very least not very difficult, but very important in these kinds of games - why is that aspect so fucked up?
