it's been a long time since I played this so I might be wrong, but as I recall if you hover your pointer at the bottom of the screen it should "highlight" a clickable bar, it's not visible without moving your pointer over it (other screens might have it on the left or right side edge) and yet others have doors that might not but jump out as obvious (the store for example).Uploaded a picture. Also, if you haven't already done so, build a save regimen using 3-8 save slots in the first page of the saves (at least - I mean, you have like 180 save slots available -- could almost do a new one each day) rotating through so that you have 2-7 older saves you can go to if this game that is in development bugs out, you do something you should, you do something the developer poorly didn't plan for, etc. Best of luck.

If you clicked on her then you already "found" her. Sounds like you forgot something else, hard to tell since you haven't given any details. But frankly the best way to figure out what you need to do is type "Taffy Tales" + [The exact text from your hints sheet] into google and watch one of the many walkthrough videos on youtube, they almost always have them timestamped by quest for easy searching.

Like Stil996 recommends - you can use Google to find a video with the task... also, the answer is easily found in this thread by searching for "Find the cleaner" - once a person sets up their search results by most recent. It is difficult to believe you searched for it, because had you looked for a save file in this thread - you would have come up with this answer (and similar answers) many, many times:
There is no such thing. It writes to system files, not to a dedicated save file. For example, in Windows, it writes Unity player preferences as save data to Windows Registry.

Using the save code for it, you can start at new content for v0.89.8 (Seasons 1-4) and play through to the end of that update.

The map is disable because you are in the middle of a task/quest/plotpoint. Which version are you playing (v0.89.8 [Seasons 1-4] or v1.07.3 [Season 5])? How did you get outside the school at night? What happened in the story just before you got there? Why are you outside of the school at night? Provide a screenshot of:

Also, since they are getting whatever "Season 1" is ready for Steam submission - it has to be in much better shape than any of their previous releases have ever been (as well as make sure any references to content that may not be allowed on Steam are removed/refined). In addition, they stated they are adding some content to "Season 1" - so there's that.
I wouldn't expect their Steam submission to be released until 2025 for purchase. If it came sooner, I'd be surprised.
