Not being afraid of throwing out bad code or rewriting full sections of your software is one of the core concepts of extreme programming.
I had a lot of success with it in my career.

Still when applied here I would have seen as more beneficial to either do a parallel development: s1 retail and s6 (5 part 2?) both with the new art and code approach.

Maybe it is a matter of resources, maybe it is a matter of a writer block or looking for the right writer to go ahead (please keep away the ntr writer from the main route), only the dev team knows.

Overall, no one can deny the success of TT, the only complaint could come from patreons that got screwed over the s1 redux distribution.

I'll wait a full season bundle before buying it anyway to avoid futher surprises, the game has enough traction as of now, so my preference is to support smaller (and more engaged) devs.

After finally completing the Redux S1 I clearly see that its way more "commercial" and "zoomer" oriented than good old TT games. In old games we had to spent quite a lot of time without any sex scenes to be rewarded with all kinds of deprivation waaay later. The Redux is teasing NTR and degenerative sex in so called "visions" right from the start, obviously to hook the modern players with short attention span. Also dev removed all choices (like to allow other boys to rape Clara or not), made few things way simpler and added a ton of animations, wobblings and shakings - all to capture the eyes of modern 18 year olds. Good job! And everyting looks like a candy now! AAA+!

But for people who completed all old TT games there's almost nothing new and it's just a lot of wasted time. If was fun to replay an old story in "modern" look with "upgraded" arts and animations. But it would be way funnier just to continue the main story where it stopped while ago...

So I'm not the only one who noticed that NTR writer's writing is far worse than the way LostRaven wrote. There are certain places in season 1 of redux that are just glaring. It's too clumsy, unnatural. And the worst thing is that Lost left and now everything new will be written by this guy (if Uber didn't hide the fact that he found another writer). If anything, the fact that I don't like NTR has nothing to do with it.

About the parallel development, I totally agree. I originally tried to justify the redux by saying that it would be pretty fast + Uber would pay more attention to the quality of art (after all, I thought he had a good grasp of AI art by then thanks to experience from versions 0.95 and 1.07), but after what I saw in the first season of the redux, I realized that the game started to remind me more and more of Summertime Saga (in terms of remakes and everything related to that).

Seriously?! What the hell, I was thinking of buying it, how long did it take you to finish it?
Why would you buy it? You can play it for free by downloading it here... And then you would know first hand, how long Season 1 Redux, which has been stated time and again is about 1/5 or so of the previously released content that is in development, is.

They are taking the current in development content and breaking it into Seasons of "finished" retail versions. Currently, Season 1 Redux is released. They are working on the "finished" retail version of Season 2 Redux, then they will move on to Season 3 Redux, etc.

TL;DR: They are finishing all the content to date, adding some new content, and packaging them into "Seasons" for retail sale.

What happens after they are done doing that has not been stated.

I actually don't know how the route was received in general, to me it was an awful route that completely missed the branching opportunities already in place.
My theory is that the dev did not want to add stuff to the old content since it would require sone refactoring of the code to bring it up to s5 standards, so we got a branching from there instead.
Overall this lead to a complete disconnection and no buildup, since the story was so progressed that a slow buildup would throw off the pace and the NTR "fans" waited quite a while already.
Having said that the quality of the story is the usual slop, and I say this as a great fan of watersports.
All relationships between characters are forgotten and lost to give space to the usual boring two pumps chump corruption.
Bringing back the old split personality that we meet at the beginning and having MC face the facts with a new "ally" would have been a nice touch.

I share your fear, this is why I am not opening my wallet until I see the finished product, I currently do not trust the dev to bring a decent story in the main route and for him to be able to deliver on his promises (since there is no s6 planned at all).
About the art, some AI animations were not that great, especially in the classroom, but that can be overlooked.

Don't buy. Find a old version and play that.

They removed 90% of the content. Some of the best romances in the game are either not fully developed now or completely gone. Like you could romance Cass and Marry and the content was cut to near nothing. This one is boring and a lot of teen mellow drama. You see a lot of boobs, but only get to have sex with one of them?

Then the NTR segments aren't really NTR since its written in a weird way so that you can't trust the narrator. Also you weren't dating any of them in the game. So idk why its labeled NTR.

It took maybe 5hrs to complete, but I'll admit I skipped a lot of dialogue since it feels fcking boring now.

you mean like from the first post of this thread where people can download Season 1 Redux, v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4", and v1.07.3 "Season 5" -- or my post that links to many of the previous in development versions?
They removed 90% of the content.
Season 1 Redux is about 20% or so of the total content previously available, plus some new content.

They didn't remove shit. All that content is currently available in the draft that has been released in the past (up through v0.89.8/v1.07.3). The content will be available in the future. They are releasing all the in development content in separate "finished" parts - just like they said in July 2023 that they planned to eventually do.

While I get your frustration, making sure the correct information is shares is just as important and sharing your feelings.

Yeah, that's about how it feels. The funny thing is that now Uber, if I understand everything correctly, has decided to change the plan again and abandon the separate NTR route and reintroduce it back into the narrative as an offshoot of the main route. Very strange behavior that takes time, effort and resources.

About the route perception - as Count Morado wrote to me, Uber had the biggest increase in subscribers and revenue during the NTR update. But I personally attribute this not to the fact that the NTR route was very high quality and interesting, but simply the influx of NTR fans. It is clear that when you work for a non-NTR audience, the numbers will not be the same as when you enter a new audience with a separate route. From a business point of view, it seems to be a good option, but from the players' point of view, both camps lose. Vanilla fans get less vanilla content, NTR fans get less (and in this case about 0) NTR content. In my opinion, it is much more logical to complete the main route and fully engaged in NTR (demand for it like there is and very even good). And pulling both camps without expanding the team to speed up the process is not a good idea. But this is my opinion as a player.

Well, about the quality of the content of the NTR route many have already expressed and evaluated the idea of obtaining electrolytes from urine a huge number of different epithets :)

I share your fear, this is why I am not opening my wallet until I see the finished product, I currently do not trust the dev to bring a decent story in the main route and for him to be able to deliver on his promises (since there is no s6 planned at all).

In my opinion, AI animations would have been better used for showcases (on Steam, but after rejection - on itch.io), and removed from the game. All of them are crooked, it's impossible to loop them normally (although with normal animations for some reason there are problems - they are twitchy, or the problem is on my side). AI art in general became much better, but lacks attention to detail. I noticed that Uber fixed some of Mary's faces in 1.0.35, but the faces of other characters still have the same problems. I won't say anything about the story part because of spoilers, but in my opinion there are problems with logic in some places.

Also, "milking" says a person who comes here to take most/all of the adult games they play without compensating the developers.
This hgame shit isn't worth paying for. If I buy a movie, I want a beginning, middle, and end, and I want effort put into it.

Instead, devs like Uberpie toss off some half-assed AIart, tumblr-tier writing with poorly translated (often hilarious) english, and demand compensation. Nothing is finished, everything is low effort, and at best a dev will put out a few wallpapers and one boring scene a year and write a 5,000 page essay full of excuses.

Expecting to be paid for this crap is Pure Unflitered Arrogance. Just because a few desperate coomers who don't know how to Google "free porn" waste money on this shit doesn't mean any dev deserves it. Money is for artists who put in the actual work.

That wasn't the argument. But thanks for playing.
I mean, I take them all too but I am not hypocritical about it.
Also, as you can see in the part of my post you conveniently didn't quote --- I don't pay for any of them. None. Zilch. Zeros. Never have. Never will.

Nor was I advocating in that post for anyone to pay anything.

Again, that wasn't the argument.

Enjoy your day.

Well after about 12 hours of trying I am giving up on the old version season 1-4.

The split personality MC only works when the player has faculty, instead the game presents the evil version as a foil to trying to get laid instead of actually being another half of you in control. It gets so annoying seeing blue text because you know it will just be the "good" MC acting like a bitch-boy trying to stop the conent. If you are gonna do the duality system then the dev should have let players choose who was in control instead of getting forcibly cucked by ourself.

The plot is non-existent, just vague story threads left here or there to be picked up or dropped in a instant.

The sex scenes while having good looking girls, suffer from not actually being animated. I dont know if that changes later on but why have animated characters and scenes if you dont have animated sex scenes?

The whole BDSM vibe the game was a choice...

12+ hours in and no mom or sister content, hell it feels like Tiffany, the sister literally just disappears from the world and reappears on a whim.

Clara was given waaay to much attention, she is the starter slut, she shouldnt be taking up so much time.

The MC "it girl" Stacy is extremely boring. How the hell is that your dream girl when she is literally a walking stick.

Was looking for Darnell NTR but again like Tiffany, he just pops in and out of the world and plot on a whim and I coulda swore he had a sidekick or was the sidekick to some white guy who also just vanished.

Not a fan of locking women behind a single narrative but then also letting some women have their own storylines. Just make them all separate?

Pointless multiple choice dialogues that do nothing but loop you unless you choose right.

Max is only our pet for like the first hour then he vanishes. Abandoned bestiality content I suppose.

I will give the redux a try, hopefully it polished and fixed the glaring issues this game had.

The redux does not fix anything about the story but it will have more scenes for the girls that the old seasons do not have.
I like the artstyle more, I love the freckles. So far its an improvement and it seems to be getting to the good stuff a bit quicker. Tiffany actually lives in the damn house.

I downloaded the game android version of S1-4, but it showed my phone incompatible, what is wrong with that? I use Xiaomi 14 ultra.
However, for S5 and S1 redux, I could play it.

Anyone has a apk that is compatible with my phone or my android version (Version 15).
