What do you think it's about? Money. Steam has millions of users willing to pay. But nobody thinks that if it gets on steam, and imagine it gets the attention some games get for rape/noncon/racism.... the game will be blacklisted everywhere and the dev might get doxxed. But greed is more important. Steam not allowing it is a gift.

The steam attempt was after they got kicked off patreon.
Steam didn't accept the game back in January and banned it.
They don't have any intent on leaving subscribestar or itch or dlsite or nutaku.
However with sites having to make sure they follow their own rules, we'll have to see if the game stays on itch or if it gets banned.

Thoughts on the Road Ahead
Hey friends,
Sorry for the radio silence over the last little while. We wanted to let the dust settle after all the recent industry news before posting.
If you’re wondering about my take on it, I’ll keep it very simple: We promised you Season 2, and we are going to deliver Season 2.
In a previous post, I mentioned sharing some behind-the-scenes stories about development. Given the current mood, it doesn't feel like the right time for that. But once things calm down, I still have a ton of nerdy tips and war stories I’d be happy to share in future posts, if you're still interested.
Now, for the good news. We owe you everything for your support, and we’re channeling that directly into our work. Things are getting seriously hot. I know that sounds like a typical developer line, but I’m genuinely excited about the direction we’re heading, and I truly hope you’ll love it too. We're not just aiming to add more scenes, but to enrich the story that connects them. In parallel, our programmer has been working magic on the technical side, making huge improvements and optimizations.
I’m currently overdoing it on the coffee, but that’s just part of the process. For me, the two things that get this project done are caffeine and physical exercise. I’m not a big believer in waiting for a ‘muse’ or ‘inspiration.’ (Unironically, they are wonderful things, but not for the daily grind of a project that lasts for years. And I have huge respect for the opposite approach if it works for you!). For me, it comes down to will and peace of mind. And those two friends help me control and initiate both. Sorry for the philosophical detour, haha.

Once again, thank you for posting Vanhaller, you're a beast. Lovely to see some Becca art, but beyond that just another vague statement about development and "moving things along" that no one can actually verify. But that's par for the course at this point.

Hopefully Uberpie isn't really bothering to browse through threads on F95. He has more to worry about right now with the precarious presence of Season 1 Redux on itch. He's already changed the preamble of the game's page at least twice since the NSFW deindexing started.
The first I saw he had written that there is no nonconsensual sex in Season 1 Redux along with what you see now in the preamble. But he must have realized that's a lie and removed that to replace it with the "ethical guidelines" and "aims to comply with" statement. Now, just lying by omission, again.
But he hasn't changed the content of the release available for sale there (v1.0.40_beta has been available since early June).
I mean, even the gallery of images on the game's itch page shows scenes from some of the nonconsensual content (Mary and Clara, for example) - as well as the game menu screen that shows people bound with hands behind their backs, etc. He must be too busy to also pick less obvious imagery to promote the game while itch is reviewing content of games.
People shouldn't be surprised if the game is banned by itch once it is reviewed. I'm not advocating for it - but I'm just being a realist, based upon what's going on over at itch.
