This isn't rocket science.
Also, this isn't a new concept for games on here (or games, in general) - it's not unlike downloading and installing DLC.

The unpatched version has scenes missing.
The official patch adds the scenes back in.
The instructions on how to install the patch are in the INSTRUCTIONS spoiler in the first post.

New Trailer & Big News for Season 2

Hey everyone,

I want to sincerely apologize for the recent lack of posts. I'll do my absolute best to share content and updates much more frequently from now on. It's been a wild couple of weeks, and we've gotten a massive amount of work done.

With that said, I have two main updates for you:

First, we've finished a new trailer! We'll be posting it on other platforms later, but you all here and on Patreon are the first to see it. (On that note, just a quick and friendly reminder: if you're already subscribed here, there's no need to subscribe to our Patreon as well. This platform has been a huge help to us, and we're incredibly grateful for it. Plus, the content is exactly the same on both, and we don't want you to pay twice!)

I'm not sure if this will be the final cut, so I'm always open to your feedback and criticism. This is only the third video I've ever edited in my life, so I'm definitely still learning from my mistakes.

My second piece of news is that we already have an abundance of material ready for Season Two, and there will be significantly more brand-new content compared to the last season. In fact, the amount of completely new material we have right now already outweighs the reworked content from before. This is happening for a couple of reasons. We're adding a lot of entirely new scenes, and on top of that, we're taking short, fully reworked old scenes and expanding them into entire chains of new content. We do this by giving them different intros and nuances, filling in the events between them, and so on. The whole thing is snowballing, and personally, I'm loving how it's turning out. I really hope you'll love it too.

Thank you for sticking with us through the toughest times and for being here with me now. I truly hope to return the favor by delivering a great final product!

Oh man that was easy, just had to spend little under an hour reading the last 30 pages of this thread to understand it. This is the order:

1. Seasons 1-4
2. Season 5 (adds optional NTR route)
3. Somewhere around here the dev gets banned off patreon
4. Dev releases redux versions (basically remakes, those are the ones listed first)
5. Redux version has removed scenes (because controversial?), patches adds back those scenes.

Though I'm a fan of searching shit, this info should be at the top of this thread. Else you just end up with people asking the same question over and over and it's not people's fault for not knowing, this thread is just poorly documented

Don't choose to play the netorare version that is ONLY within v1.07.3 "Season 5". Just play the main route version in it. There is no netorare route in any other releases at this time, READ the big yellow text in the first post of this thread.

That content remains in whatever release you played it in. But that content is not in any Redux, yet .

Great question. It all depends upon what you want to do.

Do you want to play a version with a lot of content? Go play v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" and then v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- these are both the "in development" versions, not "finished" retail.

If you strictly want a netorare playthrough, play the short completely optional and separate netorare route in v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- this is the "in development" version, not "finished" retail.

Do you want to see 4k images and video with some additional content added of the first 20% or so of the game, all of it in AI generated art? Play Season 1 Redux. <-- this is the "finished" retail version, nothing more will be added to it. Further Season Redux versions will be separate downloads in the future.

Because of itch's rules, Redux has violating content removed. It is unpatched. If you want the content, download the official patch and install it within the Redux. See instructions in the installation spoiler.

Yes there is a difference. I mention the differences directly in my quote within post you replied to.

It's your choice if you want to buy the retail but you can download it for free from the first post of this thread.

This is some SS type of confusion. Came back to see how the game has progressed and there are 5 different "seasons", multiple patch versions, and now a redux that removes content.

The last version I had saved was 0.89.8b. I'll probably just stick with that

There's only 2 other releases besides the one you have now.

v1.07.3 continues the story from where v0.89.8 leaves off.

season 1 redux is the first 1/4 or so of what you have, plus new content - in it's "final" form. All of which is now AI. You do need the patch to see all content that is available in it.
