felt like this was important to post here.
People - before you start believing it ... Uberpie has repeatedly pledged this (I won't say promised) in the past and has rarely ever accomplished it.

Always expect releases to take a long time and don't be surprised if it takes even longer.
Be happily surprised in the rare instance when it beats development time expectations.

Also, here's the text of the post (if people decide to search for the post in the future):
Uberpie (10 December 2025)
Hi! We really tried our best to make it happen this year, but it looks like we won't be able to finish in time. Our priority right now is releasing the demo version. Tentatively, we are now aiming for January.
As I've mentioned many times, release dates are a major headache for all projects, big or small. Development isn't linear, content keeps growing, and you always face the choice: cut it or delay it. We don't want to release a raw product, and usually, every testing round reveals hidden bugs that create more work for everyone. Localization into multiple languages is actually the easiest problem on the list right now!
The choice between the NTR route and the standard route is the most radical mechanic in the game, literally splitting it into two parts. This means double the content and double the work, but we are trying hard to please both teams of players. As promised, this split is real: if a player doesn't want to go down the NTR route, it won't be in the story, so non-NTR fans can rest easy.
If the Steam release goes ahead without the previous issues, we will try to make future seasons shorter. We got buried in content and details again, but this is our second attempt to enter the market. I've written before about how unlucky we were previously (not trying to be a drama queen, but many projects cross "red lines" ten times worse than we did and are fine), so we have gathered our last strength to try our luck one more time.

Edit to note: Clarity for those who are wondering - It appears that January is the tentative release for the demo version, not the full version of Season 2 Redux: Morning After. Again --- tentative. demo.

Well, at least he's admitting reality and actually talking about a basic time frame to release the game. I'll call that progress, but nothing really surprising. And following this game for as long as I have I can confidently say: There's no way the seasons will get shorter and even if they did, it would not affect the release schedule one bit.

is season 5 v1.07.3c the definitive version of the game? i played redux only to find out how unfulfilling & short it was.
Qouted in an answer on previous page, but quoted ---- again ---- here:
Great question. It all depends upon what you want to do.

Do you want to play a version with a lot of content? Go play v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" and then v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- these are both the "in development" versions, not "finished" retail.

If you strictly want a netorare playthrough, play the short completely optional and separate netorare route in v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- this is the "in development" version, not "finished" retail.

Do you want to see 4k images and video with some additional content added of the first 20% or so of the game, all of it in AI generated art? Play Season 1 Redux. <-- this is the "finished" retail version, nothing more will be added to it. Further Season Redux versions will be separate downloads in the future.

Because of itch's rules, Redux has content Uberpie thinks could get it banned on itch.io. As such. That content is removed and is unpatched. If you want that content, Uberpie offers a free official patch to restore it. Download the official patch and install it within the Redux. See instructions in the installation spoiler.

"So we have gathered our last strength to try one more time" Maybe I'm reading into the wording here too much but to me this sounds like if they don't get accepted by Steam the project is ending.

You're reading too much into it.

Firstly,
Uberpie has a history of being a drama queen and uses hyperbole freely..

Secondly,
The artist is Uberpie doing image-to-image and text-to-image AI generation - based upon Uberpie's previous art.
The writer is Uberpie (likely heavily supported by AI) - after lostraven left.
Uberpie may still have coding help from someone.
Season 1 Redux didn't have a credits list - so as of right now "we" appears to be Uberpie and maybe 1 person helping them with coding.

Thirdly,
They are pulling in good money from subscribers each month on Subscribestar, alone -- and then the Patreon back online. Finally, there are the retail sales on Itch.io, DLsite, Nutaku.

Finally,
This is Uberpie's livelihood and it brings in bank. The project won't end if Season 2 Redux is not accepted on Steam.
