You can only use them to buy the stuff in the shops of the air baloom and in the castle later.

You can exchange certain items for them such as the slimes drops. with that you can buy certain items for more scenes or crystals to revive the team. Also there is a nice way to have unlimited money which is buying all the mucus (From the goblin at the mountains), buying all the blue tickets and selling them for like 5 times the amount you spent.
