This game was designed by an idiot developer that does not know how deck building card games are played! You draw more cards after each turn to keep your deck the same amount of cards not fucking reduce the amount of cards each turn! If Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, and other card games had such a system they would of FAILED! Totally retarded ruining what could of been a good game otherwise! Also from all the reading here the game loses all semblence of any balance later in the game because of this idiotic decision developer had to make overpowered cards that will defeat everything.. damn stupid!

As a card game this has 1/5 it is poorly designed and this is one game that needed to go back to the drawing board and be remade!

I think that rather than just "have no idea how card games works", it's closer to "mechanic made differently on purpose, in order to be unique". I have no problem with discard mechanic of that game, or rather i only welcome if it's different from something that we already know. Just because it's a cardgame, it doesn't need to be MTG, especially when enemies doesn't use cards.

Current mechanic is kinda like "fatigue", the more you fight - the less cards left. So if your deck isn't strong enough, you fatigue yourself into straight zero, and can't continue. You build deck around that.

What i actually hate is the "rest" mechanic. "Letting her rest more" will restore life (which shouldn't be a point, since if you aren't on full life means that your deck sucks, and you probably lose anyway), but take away your halo auras (aka your main battle mechanic), and shield (which as i said before "stacking it is absurdly OP"). At this point, i never ever used the "long rest", since it's directly harmful, not even mentioning that it would restore only couple of discarded cards, instead of all. I don't even know what Una says if i choose it :D

P.S. The first thing that developer need to fix is "armor should be automatically discarded at the end of the fight", or else what's even a point of differentiate between armor and health? Until that is done, any attempt to fix the balance would immediately fail.

I rather liked it, it's very similar to how the card system on Gloomhaven/Frosthaven works. Rewards smart, aggressive play and clearing rooms in a single turn and trying to save your burn card abilities for boss rooms. It's not perfect, sure, but I think it's a nice diversion from the usual systems of 'stack defense when getting attacked', 'stack stat burns on defense to turtle your way to victory', and 'focus attack when enemies are setting up buffs/debuffs'. "Is it wrong to clear the debt in a dungeon?" is a more balanced take on the genre, but I feel like even it falls short compared to Last Evil or Lost Chapter.

Really not fan of the card mechanics, also why the fuck does every fucking hack of a developer have to include some pointless grind system in their games? Forcing the player to play the same shit over and over again doesn't make the game any good, it makes it suck.

I welcome experimentation. There isn't any single way card games "have to" be.

However, this particular mechanic is shit. Its only function is to limit the total number of cards you can use per fight. That means railroading you to the highest damage cards and combos because there are only disadvantages to dealing damage more slowly, and ensuring you've done the grind to equip all the highest damage gems. Replacing smaller numbers with bigger numbers until the numbers are big enough to beat the final boss doesn't involve any kind of strategy or decision making.

It's a feature in a deck builder that only serves to make fewer decks viable. It's not bad becuse it's different. It's bad because it's bad.

A nice evening of limit testing jank kusoge card game mechanics, Shield + Bash is core and has so many flavors, to further appreciate the already well established and enjoyable varieties.

There's almost no way to play this game badly; decks that aren't good off the bat can become viable once you get the latest gem socket upgrades, even straight attack is very doable.

Pick up Stone will always be an MvP for how useful it stays throughout the entire game.

edit: Having 5 digit damage on Bash word wrap after 4 digits should have prompted me to see what the number cap was but I'm just too lazy to grind that out.

Story wise; the plot is filled with too many holes that are never answered. Truly a mediocre attempt at a narrative; what a waste of time.

Would kinda have to agree only because there weren't enough cards that utilize rest/fatigue/card discard properly.

1) Halo effects don't really start becoming usable until way later into the game and there aren't enough of 'em to make it really interesting.
2) The system designed to refresh fatigue isn't good, overly focuses on picking the second option.
3) Caveat; convoluted. I was under the impression auras would disappear after you recovered the card but that was just my misconception.

Honestly with a bit of polish, better design on both cards and enemies, a fatigue system is perfectly viable.

Larger deck sizes, randomized starting hands, all of a sudden it's just a self mill deck honestly.

My guess is that Mona is what happen to Una if you didn't tell her that her sister is dead. Male protagonist returns to his world after making the wish and Una finds out that she can't bring her sister back to life. She probably falls into despair as she is now alone and makes a wish to become a demon lord/have power to bring back Male protagonist and her sister. Which is why in that ending Male protagonist returns to his world, but is soon sucked back into the laptop again. Pamela is most likely a piece of Mona which is why when Mona is killed Pamela also disappear.

If you compare Una and Mona they have a few similar features such as their hair being braided on the right side and the crystal accessory on their chest. Mona's dialogue when you lose to her in floor 100 pretty much prove this theory. She been waiting for thousands of years for male protagonist. The succubus mother said the dungeon originally belongs to the vampire boss and herself until Mona showed up out of nowhere one day. Those thousand years turn Una into the yandere Mona. After all both are equally as powerful as evident in the happy ending cutscene.

Decided to do a no grind run and speedrun through every stage using only 1 clear worth of gold/drops and the first clear rewards are more than generous enough to build a proper deck for each floor progression. (You don't need to clear the side missions at all; though they really help with deck experimentation on first clear)

That said it was Bash and Stone abuse, Charge+Guard and Tiger Slash was all that was needed to not fatigue out/1shot every fight.

Nothingness shield stacking with burn/poison spread (75%*2) is probably also viable but that was my original clear deck; dark flame doesn't actually hit as hard as charge stacking tiger slash (4x halo burn and stones do make up the difference though).

tldr- Guard cards are strong and the only thing holding it back is the fatigue system; but Bash exists so you can just run 2 attack and 8 defense.

Dev needs to add more counterplay on mob affects to deal with guard (or just not let it carry over between rounds)

Don't pay attention to the salty/frustrated comments, this game is actually quite balanced. It forces the player to pay attention both to the game mechanics, the deck building and the rogue/random artifact you gain in dungeon

spoiler alert : the late dungeons does railroad you on a diminishing number of deck options. Any option aside Armor/charge up /tiger slash will be challenging but actually really fun to pull off

PS : the porn is ok but lacks imagination, the story and characters barebone. Rename the MC "My Ass !!!" if you want at least a few immature chuckles out of the script. You're welcome :).
