You can roleplay it however you want in your playthroughs, but it could also be argued that it's simply revenge corruption for the PC. He got shit on so much that he's going to turn it around and control his whole world.

I was mistaken and was thinking of something else, after you add patch, you do this below if your mid game. If you start new it will do it automatically, well it should.

it work the same way always did, the same almost all patches works, either unpack it into the main folder or drag and drop names.rpy into the game directory
not sure what you are talking about with names? so it would become "my landlady mom" my roommate sister"??
Or is does it reset the patch definitions?

There used to be (not sure if still there or misremembering since I had it changed at one point without the patch), in earlier versions, you could change the names in the game yourself.
I remembered what I did now, I just edited the names.rpy file myself.

Yeah I seem to remember having the choice to name people, but it's been a while since I played this, and these games are beginning to run together.
but when I tried the Misc options/update names all it said was "Certain names should have been updated"?? without giving any options to change anything.... very cryptic.
It's not something I really care about & the patch seems to be working fine, so Meh!

This game really lacks some incest patch. Why the dev wouldn't make it like some others, giving a player do write down relations between some characters?

A lot of patches do not get outdated at all (if we're talking "uncensor patches"). A lot of others need an update with every, well, update. This belongs in the first group.

I had an issue where the patch didn't apply even though I started a new game. In that case you gotta click update names in the browse internet section at home, then save and restart the game and that should fix it.
If you're simply loading up a save, odds are that Renpy didn't process the images with the shader yet. For some reason, a bunch of images before you save (and sometimes after) won't get hit.
Also, it simply doesn't improve the look that much. It does a bit of denoising and sharpening, but it can't magically make the renders gorgeous. If you look at the comparison images, you can tell it's ultimately the same image, but with a tiny bit of cleanup work done.
Finally, there's a chance that the shader simply broke at some point with these last few updates (I haven't been actively following the updates, but I will check soon). If you look in your log.txt file and see either ALERT or ERROR at the start of any line, then it is guaranteed that the shader didn't take. If you don't see it, it's still possible it didn't take, but it wasn't detected.
If something happened, I'll update the mod to fix it. (Maybe some further improvements will also be put in while I'm at it.)
