If I do make a new parody, Dragon Ball is definitely an option, but I will keep focused on Takei's Journey for now.

Well with the thousand year blood war anime out now there's no better time. I hate what the original anime did to Orihime though. They did that girl dirty.

Do we still not have any progress with MC mom?
Because looking at changelog I see that last events with "landlady" we had 10 updates back and this means that for over a year dev hasn't added any progress when it comes to scenes between MC and his mom which is very sad for game with incest in my opinion.

I don't think you should focus on making yet another game like this. Since I think that would be waste, not that it wouldn't be good but you can use what you learn from this project to move to next step. Even if this is just parody you put a lot of thought in story and characters and for me that was what carried it not the fact that is parody of popular anime.
You rely upon our knowledge of characters and setting, sure this makes it infinitely easier to make because of narration, worldbuilding and assets you already have to work with, but on other hand it also limits you on what you can do with it. It is a bottleneck.
Like there is so much sources out there to be inspired by and you can mold these ideas it to what you want.
