Ye, I guess it's like me expecting Game of Thrones being an insane series due all the hype, yet felt a bit meh. Wasn't bad, but this game is still superior, even the incest is better.
I agree about Game of Thrones! Hahaha :ROFLMAO: I love the fantasy genre but after several attempts to watch even the first episode and falling asleep from sheer boredom, I called it quits. Tales from the Unending Void is not for everyone. In fact, given my likes and tastes I should probably hate it but I can't. It's just too wonderfully twisted and intriguing to pass up for me. Adventure ever on my friend, Phat:devilish:(y)

I would like to offer a tie breaker. Think of this game as a series,
star trek, obi wan, mandalorian, you name it - then picture other games as star wars.

Games that invest more in a sanbox element and in a prologue,
they will be this star wars epic movie series where we progress slow, elements do not come crashing into your pheripherals this quick.

Now, this game, it is a series of fast paced action coming at you because the space is vast and the
ways others interact with MC and the vision he has make him pick and choose courses very quickly.

Now, this is not a slow paced scavenging vessle like the callisto, this is a make shift freighter
with a mission to go find somebody. The time frame is more relaxed in callisto while here we are fighting those 24 hours after a kidnapping, you must remember the show, will ya?

Everyone's entitled to their opinion and I differ with you in that this 'story' is 'one of the best fiction stories written', porn or no.

As an H-Scene carrying game it does fine...which means some people are going to like it no matter what. But not a great story, sorry.

First it started poorly with some 'off-putting' scarcely believable elements (Ok, a young guy in the military just decides to desert his outfit (persuading friends) to rescue a family member and so his / their MOTHER is going to shoot them down on the way out) and then it rambles off into a widely traveling, unconnected series of events that has nothing to do with the original rescue of which we hear NOTHING about for chapter after chapter?!! This is a plot? No, this is a mechanism for tying together characters for h-scenes and whatever. There are far better story games even on F-95. You can see which one I think is much better by my fan sig. . .and that was that Dev's first game!! There are a couple others even better which I won't name.

No, this game has good imaging, some interesting characters and varied backgrounds but it is severely harmed by a wandering plot and an unbelievable MC...(who's hair style even became a bone of contention in this thread) so even though the Dev put a lot into it, it doesn't rate a spot on the podium...maybe 4th place. Sad, but I guess it's a good example of what happens if you don't have a good scope/plan (or possibly a flawed one) before you start.
I mostly agree, my friend. TftUV has been on the outskirts of my all time favorites list for quite some time now but it falls short of my top favorite dev's work like Xavster, OBD Games, Kthulian, Dr. Pink Cake, Frozen Synapse, Hopes Gaming or Philly Games. I don't like trying to rank them by number but if all of these devs issued an update on the same day then I would go for Philly, Xavster and OBD first and get to the rest as time allowed. That said, I have played every update of Tales from the Unending Void since I first found this title around v0.2 or 0.3 and have enjoyed every single update for similar reasons as you describe, professorx10.

There have been some events that really grossed me out, like inadvertently entering an unknown area, getting a huge turn on from a femme dom pleasure torturing her subs with rather large phalic devices until the dom lesbian pissed into her three sub's mouths and made them swallow... I just about lost my lunch there. But, I am curious by nature and tend to peek into everything... which occasionally causes deep regret in titles like this. Otherwise, this title might be closer to the inner circle of favorites... IDK... the weirdness of this title is part of why I like it. I never quite know what to expect and am frequently surprised... like, I never thought that I could or would fall in love with my mother and three sisters! That was a startling revelation! But, it's that kind of game. :devilish: By rights I should hate this title but I don't... it's far too intriguing! :devilish:

Good to see you here today, my friend. Adventure ever on, Phat:cool:(y)
This game also lacks the free roam element that sometimes trips players in losing themselves in the repetables while they lose their focus on the actual plot forwarding scenes they need to hunt down and focus on to advance in the game.

So I downloaded season one but whenever I try to open the application it just closes itself.
Look, i don't want to sound rude, but what kind of help do you expect when you're not even providing the slightest of information?
I can only assume that you're using an Android Version since you used the Term Application.

"Apps on Android can crash because of low storage space, too many apps running simultaneously, a weak internet connection, or not having the proper app updates installed."

Well, it just doesn't open. I try to open the app and it does not open.
So I downloaded season one but whenever I try to open the application it just closes itself.
Two common problems that may arise when playing on Mac are these:
  • the app is quarantined by Gatekeeper because its from an unknown developer;
  • the executable inside the app might have lost its execute permission during unzipping
To check quarantine, start Terminal and type "xattr " without the quotes at the prompt and drag the problematic app into the Terminal window. Terminal will fill out the path for you. Mind there is a space between the command and said path. Hit enter. If you see com.apple.quarantine in the results, the app is quarantined.
To remove the quarantine, type "xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine " and drag the app again into the window. Hit enter. Quarantine should now be removed.

To check the second case, you need to look into the contents of the app: right click on the TFTUV app, pick Show package contents. Navigate to /Contents/MacOS/. Inside that folder you'll see a file called TFTUV. That file should be a Unix executable. If it's anything else, it has lost its execute permission.
To fix this, start Terminal and type "chmod a+x " without the quotes at the prompt and drag the file inside the Terminal window. Terminal will fill out the path for you. Again mind there is a space between the command and the path. Hit enter. The file should now be executable.

As a general precaution, make a duplicate of the app first before changing its attributes or permissions.

Another general hint for troubleshooting: instead of opening the app, try opening the executable inside the app. It then should start by opening Terminal. If something is wrong, there might be more information in the Terminal window.

I was quite disappointed by the newest update. The reason is cheating.

My assumption was that Camran being in a relationship with Celine was common knowledge amongst the crew. As Camran had the talk with Celine about their relationship not being monogamous, that would have been enough to ensure that no LI could reasonably believe to be in an exclusive relationship with Camran, hence clearly no cheating happening.

But then we learn that

And suddenly, it becomes much much harder not to view Camran as a cheater. And I don't like my MCs to be cheaters.

One thing about this that kind of gets me is that they all know he sleeps with Jade. So, just for that reason there shouldn’t be an expectation of monogamy unless they brought it up. Celine even mentions that when she sees him and he gets her to agree to an open relationship.

So, I think the difference is in knowing a thing, and actually seeing a thing. It’s one thing to know he sleeps with “other women” on occasion or with Jade who he’s been with for years. It’s another thing when they see he is sleeing with their best friend or sister or whomever. So, I don’t think he’s cheating as he assumes they all know, and they do know, more or less, but each girl has to deal with it when it comes out that he’s sleeping with Celine specifically for example. Or when they all learn that he is with all his sisters eventually for example. He isn’t cheating, they all know he isn’t exclusive, they just didn’t know he was with “her,” whomever it is that makes them specifically upset.

At the start of the game Cam and Céline are in training in the military. There must have been indications against relationship for them at that point in time. Hence the secrecy at the start of the game. Then when they mutinated, they continiued to keep it a secret by force of habit. A bit like why the big reveal of season one didn't hapen much sooner.

On an other note about Céline, the fact that she was in a relationship with Camran while it was something forbiden put some backbbone in her cllaim to be naughtyer than what apear in hte last update. I just wish we got to develop her character a bit more over the course of season one. Her model and her name makes her one of the most apealing girl on the crew for me. Don't ask me why her name is a turn on for me, even I am not sure.
