That's exactly how copyright works.
They own the look, the name and everything inbetween and have no issues bending an amateur dev over a barrel and dry fucking him for everything he owns.

Well we see things differently... As a person who has seen many movies and games with identical races, and 'unique' things but just named differently... Or adding minor changes as to avoid copyright... I think if he just changed the name and gave a different background and didn't make it obvious he was parodying SW... He would be fine..

Thing there is, you aren't the one that would be in the shit if they did go for him.
It's all well and good some of you saying he'd be alright if he did this or did that or whatever but he's the one they would fuck over if they did hit him for copyright, he's the one paying the fines and the lawsuits.
I'd rather he covered himself so he avoided any potential trouble.
I know I can be a bit of a bitch to some people on here but i'd never ask someone to potentially ruin their lives financially because I want to look at naked aliens.

Well he put it in like it is in the first place... The change is right but I am saying he could have just changed the name and background of the species but still kept the look with some slight changes. Shouldn't have put such a on the nose parody in a money project anyway..

I took the liberty of updating a few of the signatures and the cover image for the game. I always forget what the proper procedure is for getting a thread updated, but I'm hoping the cover and screenshots could be replaced. The range of supported languages also extends to Russian, Polish and Italian, those are partial translations but updated with each release so far.

Im playing with the mod and Im pretty early in the game (the beginning) and I see that the mod says "Thim path" but I don't see a gay tag, Im missing something?
