This is not a monthly build. There's basically always new art or an animation in each weekly. God these comments are frustrating when we just spent the last year literally not even going outside, doing almost nothing but working on ToA.

They're clearly getting no money from you, so bounce. You didn't take my previous reply's advice, of commenting about the art on their Twitter, so now you're here baiting more negativity. Seriously, your post adds nothing since you're obviously not planning to support the creators or their works, just move on and find stuff you actually enjoy.
Promote/boost what you like, avoid/ignore what doesn't appeal to you (either as a newcomer or as a long term player.)
You're not giving anyone consumer advice, especially on a thread that's mostly about the free acquisition of this game's weekly Patreon Builds, so you're not even being constructive towards the community.
Hope you find a game you feel less pessimistic about.
Unfortunately this is only one playable game about futa, so they have no rivalry. I dont know why people dont make games about futa, they are enchanted woman who can do many diferent actions, like fuck weak enemys and get fucked by strong, maybe bekause stupid stereotips like "cock = gay".

I agree, the stereotype that "cock = gay" is indeed dumb. It's also one that has a heavy basis in transphobia bigotry & ignorance of sexuality.
I also hope for even more affectionate positive/mutual-satisfaction Futa content, Majalis have done a superb with the characters in Tales of Androgyny and their interactions. The heart of that comes from fantastic writing, though, art assists us a visual representation of the context. There's tons of art in this game, as well as variations, plenty of which I'd love to see animated. But I also remember that art takes a LOT of time, effort and co-ordination. Commissions in particular show how this process can be a long one, where the artist and commissioner need to constantly communicate details and changes according to vision and scope.
More money isn't going to change that, unless Majalis are intending to commission even more artists, but it does mean Majalis can more effectively & comfortably create what they love making. Content that you love too, so please be considerate when you call their art 'ugly', 'sad' or 'lazy'.
If not for the sake of common decency, at least realise that your post only further stresses them out on a motivation level. This forum isn't a closed bubble, they read almost every community post about ToA (on multiple platforms), so please understand what you say can come across as deeply disheartening for them.

I ditto this post, ToA has been one of my favourite games in such a long time. The community around it is wonderful, the game itself broke all of my newcomer expectations of 'Ero-RPG games' and I've been re-invigorated creatively to contribute to the fans with my own writing. (After 3 years of not writing, due to personal IRL issues, this point means a LOT.)
When I post about this game, on other platforms, talking about the features I'm often surprised at how easily a message or two interests people into giving this game a shot. The art, the combat, the writing and the mood of the game is unique & full of potential. I hope more & more people come to realise the fantastic experience that is Tales of Androgyny.
And the 10/10 character range is fucking amazing. I've been massively satisfied with how this game fully capitalizes on fantasy archetypes in the writing. ESPECIALLY THE BRIGAND, HOLY FUCK I WANT MORE SLOB ANDROGYNOUS BANDIT FUTA SO MUCH

I agree with you. But i blame not the schedule, but instead the voting system. Like cmon we have enough art and anims on some characters.
At the same time ignoring the literal dick suckers in the forums yes some updates have been super lack luster and they have been working on this game for 3 years. Its crazy that people think that its acceptable that this is 3 years in.
I would rather the devs focus on finishing core aspects in the game instead of adding new shit. Cause im pretty sure a sex perk system won the vote at one point which hasnt been implemented yet.
I agree the devs are milking the game, but i disagree that its because of them being slow but because of the voting system. Also play futadom world if you want another futa game

I'm fairly sure that has been? In the form of Ass-Eater, (which now causes Anal Sensitivity when Ass-Eating in combat), Easy to Please, Cum Eater and all the new Status Effects that the Sex Skills can cause. I might be wrong though, I don't remember the exact vote option's wording.

Now that's cleared up, tell me how having more money help make more arts when it's one person doing it ?

And answers like "they can hire more artists" is invalid, since they already said that this will hurt the game more than anything (not the same vision, not the same style etc).

As an admin over at Futanari Palace, I can answer this question as to why there aren't more games; There are more games, but are badly publicized or never make it out of the conceptual phase due to numerous technical issues. Also, there were plenty of games about 10 years ago. Everything from little RPGs to good visual novels. Then everything dried up. It just stopped. Artists still kept cranking out pictures and writers kept writing despite never really having an appreciable audience because no one wants to waste time on comprehending words, but the games stopped. What did trickle out was a slew of hastily assembled RenPy shovelware (IMNSHO) using the same tired Blender models in the same hackneyed scenarios. There were RPG Maker games as well, but the greater community has a massive prejudice for RPG Maker anything.
Another problem is there are few dedicated futa games. Sure there are games out there with futanari content, but it is usually an afterthought at best and token at worst. Games that have futanari in them as a side item can easily either excise the writing indicating futanari and/or replace the futa artwork with a regular female and be straight up vanilla porn. The futanari aspect is a decoration; the character doesn't do anything with the cock she has. In my view, why bother. It violates the Chekov's Gun rule in literature. In the same vein, the futanari fetish is almost always subliminated by one or both of the following fetishes; furry and hyper. If you look in the furry or hyper communities, you will find all sorts of futanari stuff. However, if you do not care about furry or hyper (I certainly do not) then you are simply shit out of luck.
One final thing about the Majalis Duo is that they have the combination of skills to make a good game happen; a writer, coder and talented artist. You would be surprised how genuinely difficult it is to get that combination together. It is a pain I am acutely familiar with in my own endeavors. With Maj writing and coding and Alis cranking out art, as long as they both maintain quality control and herd enough cats in the community to keep the popularity ball rolling, they cannot fail. You are right that they have no real competition. FortunateVirgo's Hardcoded is an excellent game and well done, but that developer simply releases builds too few and far between to keep up with Majalis. Beyond that, there really is not much else out there. Sure other would-be developers are working on their own projects, but they all have developmental issues, usually an absence of required talent. Either a developer can code and draw, but can't write for shit. On the flip side, a developer can code and write, but cannot draw worth a damn. The Community wants the full package and dismisses, sometimes unfairly, projects that do not meet the expected criteria. Those developers become disheartened and quit, leaving a void. The worst thing any creator can receive from the community is indifference.
I hope that answers your question as to why there aren't more futanari games out there. Long story short, The Majalis pair has the right talent to pull a project off. Other developers have problems with getting the talent together. Dedicated futanari games are rare for this reason and the fetish is usually lorded over by the furries and the hyper fetishists.
I'd like to make a game about a futanari society. I've got several, I hope, fresh ideas, though I'm not sure if people would like to support game creation of this genre these nowadays. Anyway, I can design the game, it's routes, sense, underlayers, development process etc., but not write texts (not a native speaker) and make visuals (not really an artist). For now, I'm gathering stones together. I hope some day to throw them at all futanari fans.
