Hi!
Found some bugs in story mode:
In encounter
STORY_BANDIT_CAMP
, node 7 – when you're caught and you have to pay the 50g toll – the "pay 50" branch's gold requirement has no
target
set: this means you can pay the toll with no gold, instead of going through the gangbang.
Still on the same note, the
MapNode
for encounter
STORY_BANDIT_VILLAGE
has
DEFAULT
as its "default", meaning that you can't trigger the encounter anymore once you've gone through it once. This means that you can't return the gold to the villagers on the way back from the bandit camp – which in turn makes scenes

,
STORY-BANDIT-VILLAGE-STEAL
,
STORY-BANDIT-VILLAGE-HERO-RETURN
and
STORY-BANDIT-VILLAGE-VILLAIN-RETURN
unreachable.
Also, i've saved the tricky one for last: when you increase your scouting and stealth level through the dedicated buttons on the map, the bonus is cleared before the encounter you're walking into starts.
E.g.
- I'm on the map, on the node adjacent to the bandit camp node.
- I press the stealth button twice, thus reach stealth level 3.
- I click on the bandit camp node: the Hiro sprite walks into it.
- The bandit encounter starts, but my stealth level has been reset to level 1.
- Hence i fail the encounter's stealth check.
- This means that i have to pay the toll, lest i be gangbanged (oh no).
- “Fortunately” i can pay with zero gold due to the first issue described in this post.
This bug dates as far back as the middle of last year at least. Curiously, increasing your scouting score before triggering a mimic encounter actually works, though i guess this is due to "mini-encounters" using a different channel than regular encounters.
