I have been following this game for 7 years now , I would play it once a year but I barely feel any change in the last 3 years.

Salve a tutti,
dalle ultime 3 versioni il gioco mi si avvia con schermata nera ma sento la musica iniziale, ho provato a cancellare tutti i file e a reinstallare il gioco con l'ultima versione estraendo l'archivio ma nulla, il problema rimane.
Ho provato ad installare e aggiornare Java ma nulla, speravo che con gli aggiornamenti si risolvesse.
Sono l'unico con questo problema? Qualcuno sa cos'altro posso fare?

F95 is an english speaking community as stated in the rules.

However, you do not need to install java, you only need to download the windows/linux/ios version found in the OP that suits you and then download the java file and replace the old one with the new one.
If you're confused, you can always check the OP's installation section.

I have been following this game for 7 years now , I would play it once a year but I barely feel any change in the last 3 years.

I've been a subscriber for the past 6 months or so. Most of the recent changes are adding art and changing static artwork to animated. There is tangible progress happening every month, but if you are looking for major overhauls or edits to gameplay, I haven't seen that.

If you're talking about the best girl Selkie, you need to lose to her in combat and then fail the endurance checks while getting bootyblasted by her so you get egged, after that you cannot fight her anymore and you'll also unlock the date scenes in the town of Monsters (2nd town in 1st map).

Beginners must disable "Autoplay Skips Checks" in options. Helped me a lot.

I followed step by step, deleted all previous folders for a clean install to avoid corrupt files, installed Java 17 and restarted PC.
When I start the game I still have the black screen with the music, the mouse pointer moves around the screen like in the game menu with the right icon but I don't see anything.
I've been playing for a couple of years and I haven't had this problem before.
Some other solution?

There's absolutely no need to install java to run this game, just download the windows/android/ios from OP (which one suits your operating system).
Unzip that one and you'll have folder with contents that looks like this:

Then go to the OP once more and download the Java version, this gives you a "TalesOfAndrogyny.jar", you put that one into the folder you unzipped the windows/android/ios version and replace the old .jar with the new one.
Then you use the TalesOfAndrogyny.exe to run the game.

Using the Encounter Menu, you can repeatedly do events that give gold such as the Naga event.

You can "easily" (ahem ahem) edit your save file by just using Notepad on your computer. Finding the exact variable to change isn't too hard either.

"But where are the save files even located?!" I imagine you flusteredly asking. Well, my man, finding them is child's play as well! (Mainly because I'm about to tell you. ) You can find them in the following folder:
C:\Users\<Insert your own computer username here>\AppData\Roaming\TalesOfAndrogyny

The files you'll want to edit have the .json extension. If you don't know which ones those are because you (like the absolute vast majority of PC users these days) have visible extensions turned OFF, you can just open the ones that are very obviously not image files.

Aaand last but not least, the variable you'll want to look for is called "money" (with the quotationmarks, at that). Only edit the first variable, and for God's sake, backup your save file first! I won't be held responsible if you fuck around and find out. In the sense that you found out you had no idea what you were doing and subsequently messed up your save, that is.

thanks for the comprehensive answer.
Because I tried several times to delete all the files and reinstall the game but the problem doesn't resolve itself.
I downloaded the archive several times, from different sources, thinking that corrupt files had been loaded in Mega or Gofile or others, I extracted the archives and started with the exe file, then I went to check the game requirements and read in the notes troubleshooting it says "The current version of the game supports Java 17, which it comes packaged with. If you attempt to run the .jar, you'll need to run it with a Java 17 install."
so I wanted to try to run it with the .exe file and with the Java file
both tests did not solve the problem.
If you have a solution that I haven't tried I would be grateful to let me know.
I have no problems with other games, only with some versions with this one.

Only thing that comes to my mind is that your computer is not strong enough to run the game. Other thing is that sometimes there errors/bugs in the game that the new updates comes with but those are usually fixed as soon as possible.
