I mean it's pretty much the ladies of Ironia playing a rousing round of "hide the pink pickle (sometimes green)" and there's not that many hidey holes you can provide, but they're well utilized.

There's cups of tea in this game for fans of all types, but there's usually only milk for the bottoms.

Game keeps crashing off rip...Everytime I make a character...Itll load up..Ill get 2 minutes of gameplay..then crash

Its been the same for about like..2years now... Its something to do with the UI change and some code inside the game that just..BREAKS... everytime I get near combat...

At this point i need to boot up an older version of the game in order to enjoy the art....
I havent heard anyone else crashing because of this so im just...Bleh

not crashing on boot, but getting to reach 2 minutes of gameplay before crashing is really odd. If its crashing mid game, have you seen any error messages beforehand?
The other issue might be your game reaching the RAM limit on your PC. This MIGHT happen if you have preload turned on under the settings, but im not sure. Do you have more than 4 gigs of RAM?

Any tips for a mage build?

Play Enchanter, you can be ~90% as magical (potentially) while being dramatically better at fighting.

If you're actually committed to playing Mage grind out some of the achievements for the starting bonuses, you'll want them to round out your stats more than most classes.
Beyond that Quickcast is amazing, get it ASAP and zap enemies. Invest in Endurance so you don't get folded by anything stronger than a goblin and so you can wear the Full Plate and use a decent shield. Abuse Heal and Reforge to keep fights going.
Accept that fighting anything with more than 60 HP will be painful.

I will say that as a Futa Lover, it's unfortunate that this Game has a Trap Protagonist over just a straight up Female one, at least even Optionally.

I get it, it's in the Title, but man, even the Background Characters (like the Orc Introduction), it's always a Futa fuckin a dude. It's a shame cause I don't think I've seen another Futa Game with this level of Variety, Artwork, and Depth, but it's Solely Focused on the Androgenous Aspect. The Dialogue is Great, even Catering to the Hint of Impregnation at times, but we'll just never see it.

Again, still love this Game, and understand its target audience, but man, the Potential here for other Avenues is just not fully utilized, at least by other Devs.
