I do hope they get this game to a complete state and start something new soon(ish). Even stopping by every few months to see what's going on doesn't really refresh the whole experience.
This game is similar to a lemonade stand where kids sell you an overpriced glass of lemonade they
made (most Patreon/Subscribestar games really are). Everyone thinks it's adorable and
patronizes them knowing the production cost is 300-400% lower. The guys, built themselves a pretty good infrastructure with animation engine and got proficient with the general delivery. Plus
*because of our amazing supporters on Patreon, we now have a composer, a VFX artist, an additional programmer, and an additional animator!
the lemonade stand employs more people than before!
Why would they ever change anything, if the NPCs are willing to pay for the same old lemonade and the line keeps growing?
I'm speaking here solely from a perspective of a small business venture which this game already is.
They have a product that keeps bringing stable revenue and keeps growing slowly. Killing it to announce a new one would hurt the profits.
