No, the installation instructions are not completely nonsensical. Pretty simple and straight forward. There's even a TL;DR (which you obviously didn't read), as well as a step by step with images linked in the instructions post.

No, the uploader doesn't continue to troll, and it is not the wrong version of the jar is packaged with the other downloads. If you bothered to read the installation instructions, you would see that all OS versions are updated only monthly. JAR and APK are the only weekly updates because all you gotta do is download the OS version once and then if you want to play any update, you download the new JAR and replace the old one in the game folder (APK is for android - gotta use that instead).

No, not everyone has an app that can run java programs natively on their OS. Hence why there are various OS versions and very few people need to run java natively and so the added instructions on how to install java would only cause more complications and even more tech support headaches... and more people who don't read before they comment.

Triple digit IQ normally means +100, not 3 fingers up in the air.
What part of simple 3 step installation instruction is so hard to understand?

English isn't my 1st language, but i have a good enough comprehension of it to see that you do not need +100 IQ for such simple instructions, i've seen lego sets with more complicated procedures.

And updating the game with weekly is easy, just download the java version from OP and replace the old .jar with the one you get from it.

Disregarding his ragebait, I recommend providing WIN/Mac/Linux builds without the JAR files:
make it a two part download so that the steps would become

1. download your OS specific files
2. download the jar
3. put them into the same folder
4. ???
5. profit

The main reason why people stay away from the win/mac/linux builds are because they think its outdated due to the version numbers next to them. With this method, it can clearly be seen that its a two part download in the OP.

Considerations:
1. My JAR stopped working with the current .exe!
download the new WIN files from OP and move the JAR over

2. Help! I cant find an .exe in my JAR!

I downloaded the game for the first time ages ago when I didn't have java installed, ToA worked.
I installed java for some little application that was needed to patch an older game I was playing with friends, ToA worked.
I uninstalled java because I don't need it anymore, ToA works.
